The only reason we should draft defense first is because there will still be good QB's in the second.

Well that and there is a better defensive prospect than there is offensive prospect. It's that you get more utility out of the defensive pick AND the fact that it just so happens to be BPA as well. Win/win

If they do decide to trade down, let's say with the Browns, then i think they should bolster their defense with the 2 picks in the 1st and offense(QB,line) with the rest.

The only thing that would worry me about trading down with the Browns is that it would be potentially giving the Jags Clowney which would haunt the Texans for years. Hopefully if we traded down, the Jags would be stupid enough to think that they had to draft a QB in the first round no matter what and they'd leave him on the board for us at 4 (if he made it past the Rams at #2

If the Texans do decide to go with QB 1st, then i think they should address the offensive line as early as possible.

I think the Texans should take Clowny, and find a QB later in draft and free agency.

You would have to know what FA or tradeable QB Coach BOB likes, what the salary cap implications are and what the trade deal would be versus the perceived value of taking Bridgewater #1. Probably you need to know what they think of Keenum and maybe what the prospects are of a Keenum/3rd round QB plus Clowney and an OT.

    tough matrix
