Amir Johnson wouldn't be bad. Maybe sneak in Novak for another sharpshooter. Novak isn't a good defender, but off the reserves he's deadly.

Pretty sure Jonas Valenciunas is off the table (and we don't need him).

And I wouldn't touch Gay, Derozan or Lowry with 10 foot poles, though for different reasons.

Gay is inefficient as heck and way over priced.
Derozan is paid too much for a dodgy shooting guard.
And while Lowry is good, it's clear he doesn't get along with McHale and Morey.

It would probably center around Amir Johnson.

    1. Jonas Valanciunas, Steve Novak & Tyler Hansbrough for Omer Asik, DMo , Greg Smith &/or Ronnie Brewer.

    2. JV & SN for OA

These seem to work, but I really don't understand why Toronto has an Interest in Asik. I prefer #1 because we keep the roster size the some or decrease it by 1, whereas with #2, we add a roster spot. I think JV (unlike Asik) has the offensive skills to play the 4 spot & also back up Howard. Novak's another high % trey shooter that, Lin's familiar with, for the 2nd unit. Hansbrough's another backup 4/5.

    Asik needs to go east.

    Pelican or OKC wont happen.

Seems to me that by rejecting Omer's trade request, the Rockets are likely waiting for the December 15th deadline (Paul Millsap). His trade request has likely prompted large amounts of low-ball offers. In my opinion, a guy who lead the league in rebounds last year, played all 82 games, and is at position often in need Omer should be able to get us a decent asset in return.

With that said, I think the ideal fit would be Serge Ibaka. However there are several reasons that a trade involving Ibaka will not happen and with that said I think the best bet is Paul Millsap, which would make sense why we have quickly denied Omer's request. I would rather bench Asik than go with alot of these other trades.

I don't know why people are interested in Anderson when you get Jones. He is a better 4 than Anderson. We do need a backup center, though.

Why do people believe that Asik is good enough to be the centerpiece in deals involving Love and Aldridge?

Here's what I see happening: Rockets trade Omer Asik, as WOJ just tweeted, for an impact player. Not a power forward or a point guard but any guy whose going to elevate the team. I'm thinking back up small forward makes a lot of sense.

If we do go with a PF, look for Channing Frye to be an option.

the salaries do work.. Id hate to give up parsons even tho he is in a shooting slump but we need a 3. Substitute Parsons for Bev also works. We are stacked at the 1 with Lin, Brooks, and Bev..

So Bev + Asik + Jones + pick for LMA

    Lin/Brooks
    Harden/Garcia
    Parsons/Garcia/Casspi
    LMA/Jones/Casspi
    Dwight/Jones/Dmo

fire Mchale and get a real coach in here and we are golden.. get it done morey

The Raptors are not going to trade JV. I think the key player coming back, should there be a trade, would be Amir Johnson. Raptors fans always rave about him, and he's that kind of glue guy at PF that typical fans ignore, but Morey would pick up on. I would kind of prefer a little extra from the Raptors. Perhaps Ross, while the Rockets add a little 2nd round pick or an Eurostash to match.

Nagging injuries might be scaring Morey away.

I hope the Rockets can get a player who fills one of these three categories, decent veteran on a two year deal, or a freakishly athletic defender, or a smooth shooter who can pass.

I like the idea of Hawes a lot. Hell , I mentioned him last year in other trade scenario's.

Then again , Philly is the #3 seed in the East right now (Way Early) , I think they'd have to come back to earth quite a bit before they'd break up the roster. They haven't made the playoffs in a couple years .... Hard to break up a team that may get them there , even if it was an expected one and done.

The way that PPat is playing his value is so low that we could get him for a second Rounder plus filler.
