Without listening to the Video, which would be not good one from a big mouth Smith at any time and anywhere, I thought that TMac did one with that Smith last year, which made TMac look bad, why did he want another one?

    what would they say?

purely about the playoffs, and those are the games that matter, what can they really say?

    28.5ppg, 7rpg, 6apg, 2spg, 1.5 bpg

but yes, stop doing interviews tracy and just play the game.

I hate that I go out of my way to defend T-Mac in other threads when the fans/media throw him under the bus, and he promptly goes out and throws his teammates under the bus. He makes it real hard to defend him.

no I love interviews in general, just not with SAS.

We cannot scream we never get respect then ask for no interviews.

I think people take tracy mcrady for granted. Making threads about possible trade options,"why don't we have lebron or kobe" "He is no kobe". T-mac is a natural talent. He was like made for basketball and is one of those people that plays their heart out every game and it's just not enough by himself. He's taken criticism more than any superstar in the league, some by his own fans. I'll always support T-mac because he's the reason i started watching basketball more.

Awesome interview. Smith is the only person who can interview Tmac and actually ask the hard questions everyone is thinking about.

You gotta love and feel for Tmac. The criticism for him complaining of his teammates is unsound. Anyone remember Kobe during the off-season before 07-08? Jordan was Always furious with his teammates before he got the winning squad.

Basketball is a team sport. Any smart player knows that it takes 5, so everything starts there. Even the greatest superstars can only do so much.

Producing stellar stats is not what Mcgrady's weakness is. It is ellevating the game of others at postseason. Dram had to figure that one out to when he did the role players were able to push them over the top for most of the game so that the stars could finish it

Ok you got me there on that one but if im not mistaken that was the year Orlando had that crazy 21 or 22 game losing streak. Won one or two games then had another losing streak where they was out of the playoffs. Why would you give it your all and your automatically out of the playoffs. Im sure other players quit on their team also but dont say it. Why do you think players out of nowhere are out for the season with three weeks left. Its not just McGrady think bout it

You are right but in the Dallas series we can all agree that Yao wasn't the player he is now , pretty far from it.
And about Utah he sadi that was the most painful loss in his career.

Hmmm, I don't think keeping it real is a good thing...It can go wrong.

Tracy is and has always been an honest interviewer. To think that being honest is something that he shouldn't do is crazy too me. Dan patrick, Jim Rome always say he is the best interview in the league and thats simply because hes honest. Most guys just give the politically correct answer and who wants to hear that?

I agree that being too honest in public could be detrimental to team spirit.

On the other hand, as a fan, I don't really want to hear guys say the canned answers as everybody expect you to say.

jpapi, i wouldn't quite say he quit on that orlando team. i have seen every single magic game that season - i 'm a Tmac fan - but also a Yao and Battier fan. so no onesided sh** from me.

but, he felt done at the end of that season, and why risk injury for no reason at all??? he could've had a career ending injury in those last few games, who knows? and the amount of work he did - i wonder why he didn't just fake an injury for the last 40 games or so.

and if anyone has watched him as much as i have, u would know he literally carried the orlando team more than any one player has ever carried a team. and i have watched and followed basketball since 1988/89.
