Um, they said no-go on Vince for T-Mac, not no-go on Vince for Artest, to my knowledge.

If there is a trade it would be minor not Major.

Ladies and gents of the board, I think we need to wake up to what's going on here. We've clearly been played by a major conspiracy.

It's been noted that completing a Carter-McGrady swap would complete the Houston Rockets "2000-Slam-Dunk Chain," in which we trade the 3rd-place finisher of the 2000 Slam Dunk Contest (Steve Francis) for 2nd-place (McGrady), and 2nd-place for 1st-place (Carter). I don't believe this is mere coincidence. This was a grand plan orchestrated by the mysterious dark faces that control the Houston Rockets. Think about it.

It all began on that fateful night during All-Star weekend in 2000. The organization saw an opportunity to make history. So they began little-by-little to turn the Rockets fanbase against Steve Francis enough so that a trade would be palatable. First, they drafted a constant in Yao Ming, so that no matter what changes occurred, there would always be a sense of continuity. Then, they quietly put butter on Francis' fingers so that he would turn the ball over at key times during major games. They also put together a supporting cast so questionable that Francis would hesitate to trust them with the ball.

However, they did not count on Francis and Yao becoming best friends because of Coach Rudy T's ability to bring players together. So they slowly worked him out of the system and hired Jeff Van Gundy, a coach they knew would clash with Francis.

The other end of this equation was to sabotage the Orlando Magic. So they got some friends to send Juwan Howard over there. Kaboom.

Time did its deed, and the Houston Rockets finally swapped Steve Francis for Tracy McGrady. They were lucky enough to bring the curse along as well, to cause displeasure down the road in a possible ploy to acquire Carter.

However, the curse wouldn't be enough to hurt the Rockets and turn the fanbase against McGrady. So they got the doctors to sabotage McGrady's body. Surely, injury-prone players would be out of favor fast. So they created McGrady's back spasms, which caused major problems for a while. However, they didn't count on Tracy going to a magic Waco doctor to heal his back.

The organization knew that their luck had been pushed, so they'd have to wait a bit to get McGrady out of there. The 2007-2008 season came along, and the Rockets were putting together a magical run after the All-Star Break. This was dangerous. A championship with McGrady might lock the fans to him for good. So they decided to do what they had dreaded doing for years, a last resort. They sabotaged Yao Ming, thus ruining another season. As insurance, they took care of Rafer just before the playoffs.

They knew now, that more injuries would cause a ruckus among Rockets fans. So they acquired Artest to cause possible locker room problems, forgetting that he had talent. The doctors messed with McGrady's knee and shoulder to turn the fans against him, but the shoulder problem went away, and the knee kept healing just a bit. So every time McGrady came in for a check-up, the doctors did their business secretly to cause pain in McGrady's knee. He insisted that there was pain, but the doctors denied there was anything wrong. This obviously turned frustrated Rockets fans against McGrady because of his fickle nature. Eventually, the fires got fierce enough, and the Rockets brass saw their chance.

So here we are. Will we buy into the fulfillment of a shocking conspiracy, or will we choose another path?

It's up to you. Actually it's really not.

And you know this... how? Clutch himself has said he'd be surprised if Artest was still here past the deadline, and any deal that includes Artest is not a "minor" deal. No offense, but I think I'll trust Clutch before I trust you.

Honestly, between Artest and TMAC, I'd get rid of TMAC at any cost. At least with Artest, it's an attitude issue. If he's willing to buy into the system, coach, and his teammates, he'll give whatever to help the team. But TMAC is just a broken man, physically and emotionally. He's a shell of his former self. I'd say no to the Artest deal and try to stick to the TMAC proposal, if I were Morey.

Sounds like the Nets organization read the New York Times article on Battier's intangibles.

If it were the choice between sending Artest + either Battier or Landry, which would people choose? I'd say send Landry.

Fran Blinebury: just wanted to see if you were paying attention. He's not coming.

    HELL NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Don't do the silly things plz Morey

    Trade TMAC n Head ONLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

see from today's game, how great is Artest, how can VC compared with him !!!!

They are a TEAM already, they have the chemistry which cannot be realized through trade if all we want is just VC! Totally not worthwhile!!!!
