    I think all of you are confused about this sentence. It says "combination" meaning some but not all. so like artest landry and head for carter. I wouldnt have a problem with this deal.

    I agree. I'm not a huge fan of the alleged counter proposal. That's a TON to give up.

    I hope we go through with this trade and somehow keep Battier. I'd take Boone over Landry, defense wins championships, and this kid can rebound and block when given minutes. Him and Scola together would be a great PF tandem, Vince gives us a solid 20ppg maybe more come playoffs. A really easy way to upgrade our pg situation would be to wait until the Warriors relase Marcus Williams he was a great prospect coming out of uconn and put up good numbers when he was with NJ in limited minutes. I wish we could get rid of Alston somehow and go with Williams and Brooks but this is a lot less likely to happen than the NJ trade.

    VC for Artest and Battier and Landry is a horrible deal. VC is not Lebron James.

    It's better to give them Tmac...so this way financially they both fit and you don't have to throw in too many players to make it work.

    Williams?!?!

    He might have been a good college player, but has been awful in the NBA. I prefer to take my chances with Rafer Brickston.

    Trade Tmac for Baron Davis...
    ....then trade Artest for Vince Carter and don't give up Battier.

    So the lineups are:

    Baron
    Vince
    Battier
    Scola
    Yao

    This lineups work much better than the 2 superstars lineup.

    Of course, combination, that makes it easier to swallow. I for one would gladly give up 3 of the 4 of Landry, Battier, Artest, Head, as long as Head is one of the pieces included. Keeping either Battier or Landry would be preferable, and more likely, probable. I expect this to get done in the next couple of days, maybe before Vince leaves town after losing to his next team. Hmmmmmm. Good ole' trade deadline, never lacking in drama as far as rumors are concerned

    We better ask for New Jersey's first round draft pick if they get Artest and Landry. If its a T-mac for Vince and filler then ok but Artest, Landry, and Head should net us Carter, Boone and their first rounder. BTW Nets will have to waive someone if they get more players then what they trade away.

    I did think about that when I read it, but if that's true it's just poor/unclear writing... if that's what they meant, it SHOULD say "some combination of," not "a combination of." If you take the meaning literally, what was written does actually mean all of them, not some.

    I suppose I'd be okay with it if you removed Battier from that package.

    What's so bad? Hassell is a glue guy like shane and can be the defensive wing defender, Williams plays behind scola for 18 mins and boone backs up yao for 16mins. Next yr, the rox can trade tracy.

    I agree, we should be going after Baron Davis.

    Yeah Baron Davis has injury problems...that's only because he drags it out and he doesn't want to play for a crappy team...put him in a situation to play with Yao and whoever is left on this team...I GAURANTEE you he'll become the 06/07 Bdiddy.

    idk about getting Vince with Bdiddy...but we should forget Tmac's cousin and just focus on Bdiddy more.

    Wow. I know the Clippers are regarded as making dumb basketball moves in the past, but Baron for T-Mac? They aren't that stupid. Whatever your smoking, you need to share that stuff so we can all go to this dreamworld you are apparently living in.

    they are just wanting to move the contract of davis. tmac for vc and hassell. now you have davis and vc for basically rafer and tmac
