Lakers were desperately trying to trade odom last year before they got gasol...which they kept odom limited his minutes and he became productive...but he is by far not the same player he used to be regardless

everyone thought shaq was done last year...he was injured was a reason but his play was pathetic even before he got traded to the suns

your right wade looked like he declined...at a young age...which is scary....

Yeah here we go again. He quit on the team. How did he quit on the team when he was out there playing on an injured leg/knee. He plays injured he is hurting the team blah blah blah. Artest plays injured on a sprained ankle he is a Warrior blah blah blah. We need more guys like Artest because he is tough he plays hurt blah blah blah. McGrady plays hurt and he is hurting the team and quit on the team. Lol ooooh man the haters never stop.

If im not mistaken what happens in the locker room stays in the locker room. Rafer had no business opening up his mouth and neither did Artest. Everyone knows that whatever you say to the media they are going to blow it out of proportion.

He is being as valuable as he can be right now with his expiring contract. Not sure how valuable he becomes if we keep him only for him to become a free agent at seasons end and signs for more money than we can afford in the offseason.

    are you serious?

when artest plays injured, he's actually running and trying hard on defense. when t-mac plays, he doesn't run, loafs on defense, and makes no effort.

    there's a difference there.

Lol...someone Tell the Nets that if we're giving up Battier AND Artest AND Landry we'd like Brook Lopez plz.

No way Morey takes the second deal for VC and Josh Boone...WTF. Nets can't be serious.

Why don't they want Tmac's contract? It expires in 2010, I thought they were putting their name in for the Lebron sweepstakes?

if the nets want anything to do with the 2010 buzz, they must trade Carter this year not next year, there will be not buyers next year just sellers.

Morey has the upperhand on this deal. Tmac expiring contract is very attractive to any team come 2010.

they can easily get expirings for carter, guys wally z, bowen, etc. and in those trades they get some young ones too...nets would be dumb to accept a tmac trade.

question to you is why is it such a fantasy? Rockets are trying to move Tracy for Vince and Hassell correct? Clippers are trying to move Baron Davis correct? Davis is making 11 million this year, Hassell is at 4.5 million and rafer is at 5 million both coming off by 2010.. Now you have a million to come up with insert head and the deal is done.

No fantasy at all no 2k9 it is what it is

I think the leaks are coming out of New Jersey, or why else wouldn't the Chronicle have the scoop? The story about the Rockets' interest in VC first leaked out from the Bergen Record last week, now Chad Ford has it. I'm guessing the Rockets would leak to Feigan before they leak to Chad Ford. Or this could be Ford being way off base again.
