I think the Rockets sought after the best player available, as usual. I agree that he wouldn't fit as well on this roster if he is unable to play the 3(not to mention severly limiting his upside), but the Rockets have never been shy about that strategy- picking Brooks with 4 other PGs on the roster at the time, picking Patterson with 4 other PFs on the roster on the time etc. There is so much uncertainty in the NBA and roster movement that 2 years from now who knows what our position of need will be. If Morris is unable to play the 3, obviously one of these 4s will eventually be on the move.
