I think we can all just dismiss this as stupid. The Rockets had 3 of the biggest ball hogs in the league last year, Mo, Cat, and Stevie.

Thank you...i wish that he actually stated why he was a ball hog. Considering there was no one on that team. I could undersatnd his thinking if he did the same thing with a healthy Grant Hill in there but with the lineup of players he had on that team, who would you go to?

It's a bunch of bull too me.

Naw, I'm still here in H-Town. I'm ready to kill Yao for all the stupid shots he gets blocked and for all the joke of the defense he plays.

I'm not arguing that T-Mac isn't efficient because I think he is. But you can take every player on that list and make the same arugment because you're just going backwards through the calculation.

I agree with you on T-Mac and AI. But Baron Davis is a ball hog.
Who can he give the ball to?

    How about:

    1. Jamal Mashburn
    2. Jamaal Magloire
    3. P.J. Brown

I actually think they all should involve teammates more.
Forcing shots is usually not a good idea unless you can
make it with a good percentage. Plus, teammates would
be more active on offense and defense when they are
    more involved.

How can you blame Iverson, Davis, Mcgrady, Marbury, Lebron, Carter, or Pierce for being so called selfish. They are by far the best players on their teams and the most likely to score. They also try to pass the ball just look at the assists. Its also hard for me to blame Kobe because it seemed like everytime Kobe passed out of a double or triple team, one of his teammates would miss a wide open jump shot. I think the best player on a team should possess the ball a lot.

I believe AI and TMAc are different compared to Baron, Kobe, Steve, Stephon, Cat, Jamal and sometimes Dirk. Becoz AI is the Sixers and Tmac is the Magic period. As good as their teammates are, they flat out sucks compared to the players that surround Kobe and the others. And this is what i hate most bout SF and CAt, the mere fact that they shoot more than what Yao is attempting really freaks me out. Both of them are shooting in the low 40's. God, pass the ball to Yao the superstar. He's shooting more than half of his shots. Duh. If he will just attempt 18-20 shots, he would make 9-10 of those. PLus the more time he has the ball in his hands, the bigger the chance that he's going to be fouled (e.g. Shaq, TD). Thats an additional 6-8 ft attempts and hes a freaking 80% ft shooter. Oh my God, he should average about 24-25 ppg last year. I believe that its not jvg system its the selfishness of the two morons that limited yao's productivity last year. Thank God they are gone and what we have right now is a Top 5 talent and combine him with the Next Big Thing, we're looking for the next dynasty here baby!!!!

Steve Francis and cat aren't on the list because they are not ballhogs. It's like you take every single negative that they produced and magnify it to block out all the positive. Obviously the guy had a formula and went through all the top tier players and came up with a top ten. If CAT and Franchise are on the same team and there is only one ball common sense says they are not going to be on this list.

    Booyaka!

Mo Taylor is simply the biggest "ballhog", in it's purist state of the word, in the NBA. If one should put the ball in Taylor's hands, one should not expect it back.

Mo Taylors job is to score! some people really frustrate me on this site! and who ever thinks mobley and francis are ballhogs last year obviously didnt watch enough games last season. Mobley for sure wasnt a ball hog, Francis, I guess there is an argument for.. but then again it was debatable whether or not Francis was the best player on the team. In my eyes, he isnt a ballhog.. just a player with too much talent that shouldnt go to waste... whatever the case.. they are gone.. lets give them some respect. :)

Mash was out with injury and when he came back he played like sh*t. Magloire has offensive talents? PJ is not what he used to be. Basically you realize that NO couldn't repeat its early season result and was in free fall when Baron couldn't do it any more. That pretty much sums it up.

Steve and Cat aren't on the list because the Rockets pretty much had the lowest number of possessions per game.

He is totally not consistant enough to produce that way... like a Shaq or T-Mac. He gets his big games when he works in the flow of the offence and throws it out of double teams.
