<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p>Just filed to ESPN: The Patriots are signing QB Tim Tebow and expect him to be in minicamp tomorrow</p>— Ed Werder (@Edwerderespn) <a href="https://twitter.com/Edwerderespn/status/344198177118908416">June 10, 2013</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script> ESPN doesn't have to worry about programming for the rest of the summer, I suppose.
Clearly ESPN asked the Pats to sign him. Here they are laying people off...there is no way they could afford an extra whole news crew to follow Tebow if he signed in say...KC. They ask Kraft and Belicheck to do them a solid and sign him so the existing crew following the Pats can easily just follow Tebow as well. Two birds, one stone.
I wish I could be in that conference room when Tebow tells BB that he doesn't want to play anything but QB.
You cant just catch out of nowhere. I've never seen anything that would lead me to believe he's a better TE option than any fringe players trying out in camps right now.
This doesn't guarantee Tebow a roster spot but it could be good entertainment for a few weeks until they cut him.
