I am rooting for him, and hope that he succeeds in life first, basketball second. As much as it pains me to say it, basketball is just a game, albeit the most glorious, exciting, magnificent game ever, but it is just a game. The prima donna comment was for the way that he has handled this situation by playing it out in the media instead of behind closed doors. The playing the 'mental health card' comment may sound harsh, but using it to effectively hold out until he gets what he wants will eventually backfire. He has effectively painted the Rockets organisation into a corner...either give in to my demands or look like an insensitive organisation if you don't. If this situation wasn't played out in the media and handled within the clubhouse with GM Morey and the team officials, we would all be singing the praises of how the Rockets organisation was handling the situation and the maturity with which Royce is dealing with his disorder, instead people are irate at the way this is being handled and want to know why it wasn't dealt with earlier. As I've said before and in the other thread, I suffered with severe anxiety for many years, and it can be hell at times...debilitating and akin mental torture. I thank God that I was able to beat it. I pray that he can beat it so that he can enjoy a full life and his basketball.
