I'm not talking about our #1, how about the 2's and 3's we waste drafting guys anyways because our scouting sucks. You wouldn't rather have a starting tackle than a tight end that never played, a back up QB, an OLB that can't sack (yes, i'm considering Babin a 2nd rounder), a RB who played a few games at college before flunking out, and the list will go on and on. What i'm trying to imply is that we're better off taken what's proven than rely on player development and scouting at this time until there are certain organizational changes. I just think we might be able to put an average NFL line this way. Most teams have a couple extra quality trench guys that could start on several teams, and most teams are willing to cut salary for picks to get younger.
