Don't worry, the critic will return...I'm just in a good mood.

IMHO, this is the dumbest part of an extremely dumb article. He actually assumes that the ref would rig the game in Rockets favour just because he is a close friend of JVG.

I said different. Yao gets screwed. Kobe gets all the calls. Same basic problem.

Most stars are officiated differently than other players. The Lakers are officiated differently than other teams.

Haha, I think it really depends on how inconsistently consistent, or how consistently inconsistent. It depends on the standard output of consistence, and also the percentage of that inconsistence. 50% games for 20 points, 25% games for 10 points, and 25% games for 30 points. You can say that's inconsistently consistent, coz only 50% games are consistent. But you can also say that he's consistently inconsistent, that he EVEN has 50% games far away from his normal standard. Starting from this point, if the percentage changes, your perception might change. But seriously, that inconsistently consistent doesn't make too much sense in logic. On the other hand, given the stats I used as example, you could actually see that he's averaging 20 points, maybe we can simply say that he IS consistent?

Ah, what am I doing here. All nonsense, just too much time to kill before game 7:D

I think this is the first time you've ever verified something I wrote (that I-C is better then C-I) What's going to happen next - Yao score 50 points in game 7?

I wouldn't call inconsistently consisten "mostly consistent....just "at times, consistent"

Bradley isn't Consistently Inconsistent, he's just consistently bad.

consistently inconsistently just means, the guy is never consistent...as in you never know what to expect from someone.

    That's why I said, "mostly."

Most of the time Yao's within his range; good games most of the time; average/bad sometimes. I just didn't define what I meant. And I didn't define what we expect of Yao each and every game. Consistely what? Shaq? Nope. Consistently Yao. Yes.

As far as Bradley, I was saying that he's consistently Bradley, i.e. a inconsistent player. Every once in a while he'll have a "good game (10+pts)." It's rare. Very rare. And that was my point. Consistently Inconsistent. Emphasis, consistently Bradley.

The word consistent, at least the way I was using it, was tied to a players know past performances. Not what is a good or bad player is league wide.

Yao is doing this series what he's done throughout the regular season. Yao score 50? No. But I think he will score 25+ the next game.

Well when your talking about the Chronicle you can pretty much say that most of its stories are editorialized...

    Skip Bayless is an idiot....

And David Stern is a little meglomaniac!!!

Nevermind, I don't think we can agree or the universe will explode. Dude, we're debating What consistently inconsistent means vs. inconsistently consistent for god's sake man!

We have a consistent issue of inconsistent arguments.

This is pure propaganda controled by a$$hole Stern! He tried to badmouth JVG throw ESPN.

We need to motivate whatever resources we have to counter this media attack. We need to remind fans accross the country (as if they don't know) that the problems are with incompetent refs and Stern is desperately covering up something.

    Go to hell Stern.

yeah, i read the article anyways, but as soon as i saw that jackass' name i knew it would be garbage.

i cant stand skip bayless.... the guy is a pompous fool, forming very strong opinions usually on very little information. i can usually stand paige, as he can be somewhat funny on occassion. bayless, OTOH, sucks BALLS.

    Consider the Source

The author of that little article was none other than Skip Bayless

Skip is the same guy that was finally ran out of Dallas after years of Yellow Journalism.

Skip is the same guy that wrote a tell all book about the Cowboys and claimed that Troy Aikman was gay. Where was you source on that one Skip!

Skip Bayless has no friends in Dallas...only acquaintances and he is seen as no more than a buffoon from the rest of the sports writers, reporters and sports radio show hosts in Dallas. He is often the butt end of jokes in Dallas by the other media members.

And finally Skip says some of the media in and out of Texas might call for Van Gundy's resignation? OOOOOOHHHHHH! I'm sure that makes JVG shake in his boots.

Skip says he knows at least two commentators that will call for JVG's head? Sure you do Skip and I bet like Van Gundy, you will not tell anyone who they are.
