How can he be exhausted?...his minutes are being limited by foul trouble

I think it's more mental then physical to be honest. He was playing well until the whole flap about the officiating - seemed like it's really affected him.

I dont think its it at all, he's just being consistently inconcsistent. The guy did drop 30 on Dallas in game 5. Its the same pattern hes followed the wwhole season

The officiating issue came out before game 5. That night he exploded for his best game of the series and almost singlehadedly carried us to victory. He had 15 points in the 4th quarter alone.

He just looked tired. Who knows why but he was tired.

He couldnt grab a single rebound and Dirk Nowitzki was blocking his shots. He owned Nowitzki in game 5 on the pick and rolls.

The NBA drama is getting more and more ridiculous. Then it makes sense these monkeys with typewriters are making more ridiculous drivel.

Welp, SAS just said the same thing during half time. This time he even pronounced Yao's name mockingly twice, lumping him in the same category as Rasho. Can't believe Legler didn't step in and say, hey, this guy is averaging 25 ppg in Dallas or something to that effect.

Call Yao inconsistent if you want. Say that the game depends on which Yao shows up. But to say that Yao has given us nothing, and is softer than Shawn Bradley, that's just despicable. Average fans get their opinions from these hacks. Yao had a bad game, and we won. Trash Yao if he chokes tomorrow, but I'd love to see Yao make this guy eat his words. And if we do win, he'll probably just say that he'll get killed by Amare.

There are people with good sense of humor, but there are also people try to be funny every single minute, making fun of everything he/she sees, trying to tell a joke or play smart in every half sentense. In fact, those people are annoying as hell. Unfortunately, I have a colleague like that. Even more unfortunately, I have to read an "article" like that, especially after such a sweet win. Sigh, life is indeed unfair.

If I have to guess, he was sick in game 6. He was totally exhausted, couldn't jump at all. Everyone knows that Yao tries and tries really hard. Comparing to game 5, something is definitely wrong. Remember the Cavs game? We were complaining, but afterwards we found out that he was sick. I think it's pretty safe to say that he couldn't be worse than game 6.

yao has played okay during the series. one great game then the next is just average. my complaint of yao is just that he doesn't bring the same intensity and focus every night. if he wants to make the jump from a "good" player to a "great" player, he has to bring the same game every single night.

Stephen A. Smith sucks--I can't believe ESPN didn't renew David Aldridge's contract and kept Stephen A. instead....

He's been bashing Yao like he does Rasho which is completely ridiculous --look at Yao's stats in this series so far-Geesh he had one bad game!

By the way--in Game 2 he said Yao was "sensational" and now he's bashing Yao--he's full of it...

well he should at least try to get inconsistently consistent or this is going to drive his teammates nuts.

I don't know, shouldn't playing in an elimination game invigorate one...

And even in game 5 he was showing signs of pressure and mental fatigue - missing all them free throws...

anyone got a list of email addresses of hacks like Bayless and Stephen A? We should've started an online petition once Aldridge was dropped for Stephen A. Maybe we should start one now or create a site to call out all the so called experts...

Game 5 is a good example.

He kept missing free throws but with the game on the line and only 17 seconds remaining, he hit them both.

In his first year whenever he went to the line in the final few minutes, he'd make every single FT.

Pressure has never been an issue but fatigue has.

When he plays extended minutes, his FT's are off.

Also, his shot seems much more flat than when he first arrived. Somehow, bulking up and additional playing time has made him completely lose his touch from outside. He used to be able to hit that shot from the top of the key. He rarely takes that anymore and if does, it's a Clyde Drexler/Kenny Smith line drive.

btw - I would like to see one article calling out Stern for turning this into a $hitstorm by levying the fine. This was barely getting picked up in the papers until he assessed that fine and started talking about banning JVG for life

someone needs to tell Stern he has made his point, and now he needs to get his a$$ back to the table with the players and get the collective bargaining agreement signed
