As much as I dislike LA, I still don't find San Antonio that much more intimidating at all. Seriously, since when has Jefferson impressed anyone these past few years? To add to that, Ginosebli is coming back from injury. That doesn't sound to me like a powerhouse team. I may be in the minority but I think that ship will sink sooner than the Lakers.
Can someone please explain this to me? there are some ppl saying that the lakers won last years title becuz the elite teams in the west last season were not healthy, so we didnt win becuz we were good but becuz all the teams we faced were not healthy on the other hand.. most ppl are saying the celtics defeated the lakers in the finals becuz of their tough defence and their stronge team play, not becuz the lakers were missing bynum and ariza I might be stupid but how can i understand that?
I think you've got to look at the Spurs to take it this year. Don't get me wrong, the Lakers will be contending all season, but the brightest light in LA is now Pau Gasol. We've seen the best years of Kobe and Artest is....well Artest. If the Spurs keep it healthy, thats a serious roster to try and overcome.
