This is the year another 6 or even lower could win it all. Don't forget JVG's Knicks. They came close. Well... kind of.

This was, as far as I am concerned, the greatest post-season playoff run in NBA history, and arguably in ANY of the major sports.

And it wasn't just that they plowed through people. No. Every team they faced was formidable, and each one of them looked to have the Rockets on the ropes.

But each time, the Rockets would get up off the mat, and land one unbelievable hay-maker after another. The sheer drama of that entire postseason was a thing of sublime beauty.

In fact, if someone were to produce a boxed set of every full game throughout the playoffs, I would watch the whole thing, and it would never get old.

Sometimes I wonder if Kenny gives Shaq and Barkley a hard time behind the scenes.. both of those fools got whacked by the Rockets in that run.. sooooo sweet!

Also shows why the Rockets need to avoid being the 4th or 5th seed at all costs. Being 4th or 5th has not only been a championship run curse for the NBA, but also a first round exit curse for the Rockets.
