Count down to Melo being sent to Houston, Phoenix or Sacramento.

I would like to take this chance to thank the owner and servers of the America's restaurant and also the driver on that day whom drove Melo to the airport.

Whatever you had put in the food serving Melo or whatever you have told Melo on the way to the airport, which may or may not slightly affected his decision to stay in New York instead of choosing the Rockets.

On behalf of the Rockets fans,

    thank you.

    Amen.

You can stop counting. None of those teams can afford Melo's contract.

    Lakers anyone? A perfect match!

Haha I wonder if Carmelo is rethinking the choices he made this Summer.

That's what he gets for choosing celebrity over winning. Hope Lala's reality show aspirations blossom:rolleyes:

I don't like Phil Jackson and I'll only be too happy to see him fail in New York. But, I think it's too early to call him a failure as GM. Dysfunctional teams are going to take a few seasons to turn around.

Melo and Kobe would be a match made in heaven (or hell). They deserve each other so much.

Maybe the Lakers can trade Lin back to NY for Linsanity 2.0.

It's not a surprise to NBA fans, and it shouldn't be a surprise to the Knicks themselves.

Plain and simple, Melo chose the money and prestige of NY to winning. He wanted to be "the man", and now he's "the man on a losing team".

I'm very interested to see how PJax vs Melo plays out. It seems they had a somewhat icy relationship during free agency, with PJax asking Melo to take a paycut. The Knicks have huge/long term contracts committed to both. If things don't turn around next year with the max level cap room they should have, I could see one getting the boot.

What city you live in during the season is so overrated. Of course you would rather be in a bigger market, but what gets you endorsements is winning, as seen with dwight in la vs orl.

    Really reveals his character.

Melo was going to beat up Hardaway Jr.

I'm sure he would run away after doing that...

Doubtful. Those 3 teams all need to make moves, but they're not looking to gut their rosters in order to land Melo. H-Town has their 3 in Ariza(and backup 3 in Papa) and needs a PG and PF. Sactown just resigned Rudy Gay for big money. And Phoenix needs size, not another shooter who doesn't play defense.

NY's probably stuck with Melo for a long time.

Melo has said its more about the business opportunities and connections he developed through the years and didn't want to go to a new city to start over.

    From his standpoint, it's understandable.

Not everybody is like Kobe where basketball trumps all. Melo is looking at life beyond basketball, which is less than 5 years away for him. He wants to be a businessman like Magic, and what Lebron is striving to be.

It's hard to entertain new business pitches when you're not in the city. I'm sure he has cultivated a strong network in the NY area. So once again, can't blame him if for him, life after basketball > basketball. People are so quick to judge, but nobody knows what they would do in his shoes. Unless you're a 30 year old multi millionaire superstar athlete.

Melo and Kobe, LOL, they need two basketballs every game to make it function.

Lin, Davis, Hill, Boozer for Melo.

    Get it done, Morey. :)

Lol their contracts are so small, it would take 3/4ths the team just to make the salaries work.
