    No, not the same. Boozer has no agreement with the Cavs. That would have been illegal, since it had to come before July 1st. Cavs had to drop their team option prior to July 1st.

    "There was no commitment, no handshake," Boozer insisted this
    week, stating correctly that it would have been illegal under the
    collective bargaining agreement    . "I'm a man of my word, and the
    only commitment I gave was to Utah, and I kept that commitment."    ​

    I don't think any free agent has tried to get out of a July Moratorium verbal agreement. But it would be allowed.

    Someone brought up Hedo doing it a few years ago. He had agreed to terms with Portland and ended up backing out and signing with Toronto.

    DJ goes to Dallas:

    Dallas = 7th-8th seed
    LAC = 6th-7th seed

    DJ stays with LAC:

    Dallas = No playoffs/Tanking
    LAC = 3rd-5th seed

    Me personally I wouldn't mind LAC moving up a couple spots in the standings just to get an amazing laugh @ Parsons and Cuban. :grin:
