Hakeem Olajuwon said Friday he has been asked by the Rockets to talk to Dwight Howard about the possibility of ... http://t.co/kEqEy7tD -- Chris Tomasson (@christomasson)

Probably because ESPN doesn't know what the Rockets are really offering. They offered Orlando multiple trade offers im sure all of it was skewed together if Houston was offering that much D12 would be on the Rockets now

    Chris Tomasson

During a workout last year with Dwight Howard, Hakeem Olajuwon said Howard told him there was one team at the time for which he most wanted to play. Olajuwon called that “confidential’’ and declined to say if that team is the Lakers, who are also in the mix to land Howard. But Olajuwon said Howard did not say the team was the Nets, who were considered the leading candidate to acquire Howard until they all but pulled out of the running earlier this week. “I was surprised when he was dealing with the Nets because he didn’t mention them to me,’’ Olajuwon said.

    ...

Glen Davis will be paid $19.4 million over the next three years, but he is not believed to be a part of any discussions between Houston and Orlando.

    ...

The Atlanta Hawks also are a possible trade partner for the Magic.

Although the Los Angeles Lakers have been mentioned widely as potential trade partner because they can offer Andrew Bynum, the Magic do not prefer a deal with the Lakers because of concerns over Bynum's knees.

In the meantime, is it possible that another team could enter the bidding for Howard?

"I think there's the potential for that," Hennigan said. "But it hasn't happened yet."

Hennigan, shall we wipe your ass, draft for you and call you Big Daddy?

    Rookie GM, too funny.

I am sure Dream will let DH know what H-Town can do for him if he decides to sign an extension with the team. Rockets have had some of the best Bigs play in H-Town and he can win it all if he decides to stay.

That trade wouldn't work. With the contracts we have, I don't see any way we can take back all of Orlando's bad contracts. We might be able to take back Duhon and Richardson, but if we take Turkoglu, I can't really see how we'd be able to take Duhon, Richardson, or Davis.

Best Comment on ESPN: Too many people judging Houston, not realizing this is a win, win for Morey if Howard doesn't resign. If Howard ditches them, Morey can finally do what he wanted to do all along, blow the team up. If Howard resigns then he finally has a Superstar to build around. You either want to have a superstar to build around or be one of the worst in the league. The middle ( where the rockets have been the past 4 seasons) is the worst place you can be.

Screw it. Morey can not be taken by a rookie GM. The Rockets hold more of the cards right now. Morey should agree to give up KM, 1st round picks, Second round picks, Morris, 2 of the first round rookies.

If the Magic want to create more cap space for their team, let them amnesty one of their big contracts.

Well they won't be trading their own lottery pick. Which if your team has been completely gutted and your superstar leaves, Houston will probably get one of the top 3 picks...

Doesn't Hakeem hate Houston for the whole Toronto fiasco though?
