You're right. It would be stupid to trade away your franchise centerpiece big man for scraps and an overpayed C prospect.

**Cough**. Pao Gasol for Marc Gasol **Cough**.

He's not going to walk away from all that money. Orlando has bird rights. I hear that's pretty important negotiating tool.

Then why does he want out now? He.can get that money there, but who else wi play with him?

That's the whole idea of us getting him. Sign Dwight and use what space we have to grab CP3/Smith/Harden/Curry.

Where have I heard that one before? When it comes down to it he will resign with orlando because they control his bank account. Just like he did last year. He took the money and then a week later cried about how he really wanted out of orlando, when what he really wanted was the money AND out of orlando, he can't have both.

My guess is that he'll take the money.

I think internally, Les is quite desperate. He's old and doesn't want to actually wait. But Morey, whatever faults he may have in front of star players, seem to be very good at business negotiation and certainly will not be first to blink. I at least trust him implicitly in that regards.

Besides, the Rockets can wait things out forever. As time passes, other teams will make moves to better their own team. And Orlando will lose trading partners as days go by.

So...after SL, how many people will change their minds and say 'We gotta keep these guys! Forget Howard!"

I know its just the end of the first quarter, but if I wanted to keep any young guy out of our 5, I'd say keep Montejunas. Solid rebounder and scorer from what I've seen. :)

Funny how I was the one who pointed that out to the national guys & I couldn't even get as much of a RT before they ran with it as a story. Pricks.

I know, link or it didn't happen.

I wonder if Courtney Lee is waiting to see what happens with DH. There was some talk about him on BSPN but then nothing happened? Anyone have a take on that?

Lee could be waiting on a S&T? Lee could be...not ready to make a decision? Lee could be waiting to see what happens with DH? Who knows.

If CLee goes elsewhere after we sign DH next week I would think that's a pretty solid indicator that DH doesn't want to make Houston his home, and dmorey will put us through more of the same.... I hope CLee appreciates this great city, it's great fans, and a head office that's willing to put everything on the line to win.

Being told both Houston and Lakers still very much engaged... nothing close, but both teams working hard. Still up to Magic to deal.- Steve Kyler ‏@stevekylerNBA
