Objective metrics can be analyzed wrong. Data can be misinterpreted. Data can be out of context. Confounding factors come into play. You have to isolate those confounding factors.

Yes, that is the nature of trading a superstar. You will never get fair return value. Your only hope is the picks you get net you a future superstar.

Well, I didn't see the comment she was replying to, but this doesn't sound good for Rockets fans.

Philly, Boston, and then obviously the Nets deal that Houston would (hopefully) never take.

How is there no logic to it?

You have to look at it from his perspective.

They just played a shortened season, he has more money than God and regardless of how well he plays the team doesn't win a title.

He asks for a trade and the Rockets response is essentially that they will trade him where they want to (which is their right).

He has kept himself in good shape, effort and practice has never been an issue for Harden.

From his perspective he will roll in and be ready to go, he will be in shape and play hard... so what is the problem?

I am sure there is also an element of "**** you" to the Rockets organization because they are without MDA and Morey now.

The truth is that the only thing that is going to make everyone happy is if the Rockets win the title.... then what he is doing doesn't matter..... and if the Rockets don't win a title, then it is going to end ugly anyway.

The world isn't like it used to be.

Yep. As I've said, Harden has had better more efficient years than Hakeem's championship years...you would be a fool to say he had any years better than Hakeem's championship years.

At the end of the day, NBA sends scouts to WATCH players and WATCH film on players for a reason. If metrics and stats were all that mattered, then why do that? Just pull up the spreadsheets.

You misunderstand, I'm saying there's no team Harden can go to where they'd be a contender AFTER they trade away enough to get him. Even if the Rockets took the complete trash deal the Nets were offering, a broken KD, an always broke Kyrie, Harden and vet minimum deals doesn't make that team a legit contender.

I don't think he kept himself in good shape. I remember during the Covid break we saw skinny James on IG and then the bubble season started and he came back heavier than ever.

My take..., "'his mom is saying her son admits he can't be the man to lead to a ring, needs a real alpha to lead him to a ring..."

The misremembering of what happened during the season is astounding.

Even when Westbrook was on his “hot streak” we still had the better net rating when Harden was on the floor and Westbrook was off.

    Because we know two things.

Westbrook is capable of loading a box score, but not doing much to help the team.

Harden can be completely off with his shot, but still be huge to making our team offense function optimally.

Harden just basically used his mom to be his mouthpiece. He most likely will continue to hold out and force the teams to just let him sit and be upset or trade him

I mean, we aren't mad at him for wanting a ring (or a trade). We just want him to be a professional and report.

The only thing Im holding on to now is that John Wall said he spoke to Harden and he said he is going to be in Houston. And also the tweet saying he will report soon

I just hope someone isnt lying

I think SIlas will have to go into the season trying to prove this team can win without Harden
