That's because kawhi didn't ask to be traded that season. If my memory is correct he didn't ask out until the off-season.

It would be interesting to see what would happen had the spurs not traded him. If he sat out ( unlikely imo ) and claimed he wasnt healthy.

Also lowe was just reporting what he's been told. Furthermore it's not surprising that some teams want intervention. It happens every time a star player demands out of a non LA, MIA or NY team.

I can believe these tweets. Why would Tilman need to be involved or worry about the rockets when his genius son Patrick is running everything.

 

Spur were definitely upset with kawhi and kawhi with the spurs. But the facts are, he didn't ask to be traded that season. What intervention could the league do at that time?

Kawhi had doctors that disagreed with the spurs doctors. Both sides had a conflict of interest. I don't claim to know if Kawhi faked his injury or not. But the following season the very same injury forced him to miss significant time with the raptors.

 

I seem to recall differently, I thought his uncle was bad mouthing the Spurs and inferring if not outright demanding a trade.

Per sources in Kawhi's camp, he wanted back to Cali but Spurs sent him to Canada instead.

But that all happened in the off-season, months after his injury plagued season. July 15 to be exact.

Kawhi has gone full diva and it didn't just start with the Clippers. Kawhi's doctors are paid by Kawhi and weren't going to disagree with Kawhi's camp or they're not going to be his doctors anymore. The Spurs medical staff took care of Ginobli, Parker & Duncan for YEARS. Why would they be any less cautious with Kawhi? The Spurs are a first class organization wouldn't put their star in harm's way. But they deemed him healthy and Kawhi got pissed and sat. Then told them he wanted to play on the West Coast.

I don't really disagree with any of that, except the assertion that kawhi faked an injury to sit out that whole season.

I don't know if he faked it or not and don't care to guess. But what was the point of doing so if he did? He didn't ask to be traded till mid July. Which is months after the spurs season ended.

The only point in my post is that the league had no reason to intervene when kawhi sat out. He and his doctors claimed he was injured. He wanted to recuperate. What are you suggesting the league do?

Oh gotcha, I misunderstood. You're right there's nothing the league can do when a guy says he's injured. It's really a gray area. I'm guessing the player's union would've stepped in had the Spurs tried to penalize him.

 

I know a few of the ppl he’s around. The main girl he’s always with and some guys. Not close to them much anymore, but it’s very obvious when you see the stories on ig.

just think James is waiting for a Brooklyn trade. If he comes back to the team, it will be a huge mess. They can’t keep dodging these questions. He really screwed up.

Harden already screwed us by going public. He’s dead to me. Rockets should bench him for a year and a half and trade him at the deadline in 2022. We aren’t winning any championships in the next 2 yrs anyway.

but on the ownership front all the Fertitta’s have proven is they know how to ruin a good thing.
