When you add that he has a son in SA, it looks pretty logical that SA would be first on his list followed by Houston.

SA ( his son and a chance at a NBA title) > HOU (chance at NBA title)

    :(

I think this is Melo like charity visit. Most of these big free agent team visit tours seem so dumb when usually if not always they already know where they gonna sign, but have the need to clown other teams and give false hope to fanbases.

I think it's an american thing. Need for attention.
Marc Gasol is no lesser star than LMA, yet Gasol is doing no popstar tour.

Yeah, he's not even meeting with teams. He's staying in Memphis.

I think he signs with the Spurs. He may even try to include a PO for next year to cash in the salary cap increase and to see if he can get a title with that Spurs roster. He might truly feel that TD, TP, KL and him is the best roster to get a title for 1 or 2 years and that small window for the best shot might be all he's looking for.

So throw Dallas out. SA and LAL are the obvious destinations for him.

LAL is just such a draw because of who they are and SA actually has a really great pitch to make. Everyone else is just intriguing.

What we don't know is DeAndre Jordan might have already committed to the Mavs. If so, that might make them a more attractive team to other FAs. However, I do think the Rockets have a very real shot at landing him.

That requires Dallas to sign and trade for one them, I don't think they can fit both under the cap.

So then again, why we signed pappa to a 4mil deal again if we want to keep depth and sign LMA? smh.

Anyway, If I were Morey I would sign LMA and trade for a PG, we could even give up DMO to get a promising PG something like: MCW, B.Knight, Jennings or so. Imagine our starting line up. We would manage to save some good players like Brewer, TJones we would still have few vets and we would still have 2 young promising players in Johnson and Capela that could use some floor burn next season.

The Rockets have a shot at this, it isn't a good shot but not impossible .... Similar to being down 2 with 4 seconds left.... Get off a good shot and hope it goes in.

As a Longhorn alumnus, I would love to see LA play for Houston -- but I have a hard time seeing us improve in the longrun if we have to sell the farm to get him. I honestly think Dmo can fill that 4 spot effectively -- you add at least a 2nd tier PG and this team is in the finals. Hell, you add Beverly, and perhaps we are in the finals.

Agreed. Ask the Clippers about having no bench work out for them.

That's just it, we do not have to sell the farm, unless you count Ariza as the farm. Because Portland will be under the cap, they can SnT Aldrige to us, and their can be a third team involved (like philly).

Ariza/Papa/Jones/Dorsey/Johnson/Prigs gets it done money wise, and for those saying 'who takes that!', if Aldrige walks, blazers get zip. Papa/Prigs can be released for near nothing, Dorsey counts towards the floor, Johnson/Jones are young, Ariza has skills, ships, value as trade.

By SnT of Aldrige, you can retain Brewer, Smith, Bev, and still sign Llull.
