it's Lee or Martin. No way I'd give up our PG combo. Or might as well give them Bud so DD will cry on Xtravaganza ;)

The bulls are not a contender with Noah.

They are essentially the same as the old jazz team which was a good team but not good enough to get it done in the playoffs.

Lakes, magic, Celtics and heat are all clearly better. Spurs, Portland, Dallas, Houston are debatable.

i think they are better than the old jazz. noah is much better than okur. boozer = boozer. deng is less inconsistent and whiny/injured than ak47. rose is slightly worse than williams..but not by much. bench players similar caliber.

I have doubts Thibodeau is even in the same league as Sloan though, he's certainly been a good defensive coach, but I have doubts that his offense won't end up as stagnant as his old boss here.

True, but are they a contender with Melo, Rose, Boozer, and no support cast? That would more or less be a poor-man's Miami team. And they have less flexibility in terms of adding talent.

I think the benefit of adding Melo over Deng/Noah is at best marginal. Especially since part of the reason why Chicago can sign Boozer to a big deal is because his defensive liability is made up by Noah's presence. In essence, by trading Noah, the Bulls also increase their defensive liability due to having Boozer at PF.

Aren't you forgetting the guy who puts up Boozer-like numbers whenever Boozer goes down for his annual injury? Millsap >>> Bulls bench combined. But they do play in the East though. I'd say it's more or less a wash.

That guarantee the Lakers easy path to the Finals. Is that what you want to see?

WTF does this have anything to do with Melo not going to the Bulls?

Are you too busy sticking your nose in SCK's ass or something?

Bulls are trying to sign Noah to an extension... Not trade him.

I personally don't see why people call deng contract an anchor. I always thought of him as 10-12m player and thats pretty much what he's paid. When he's healthy, he's a very good off the ball scorer and a very underrated defender. In the playoffs, the guy shows up which is most important. Is he a franchise changer? No, but he is a great team player and effecient scorer/shooter. Durability has been his problem within the last or so, but his contract isn't one that will hold a team down. If Deng is involved vs noah, the nuggetts will still be in playoff contention, but will then need to look at upgrading the 2 spot for more scoring.

If the Rockets got Luol Deng in place of McGrady 2 seasons ago when McGrady pulled the knee injury stunts, he'd been exhaulted for his professionalism, willingness to play defense, efficient shot making instead of being a primadonna chucker, and fitting in the Rockets locker room cuz he twittered than him and Aaron Brooks are at the restaurant together or something  What happened to Hinrich+Deng for McGrady talks? Now he's nothing but bloat.

Its seems players are alright if they're "good value", or maxed out. Your eyes should bug out on seeing the money value when its Lebron, Kobe and D Wade being talked about. Everyone else is considered in-between players who are sucking the league dry and don't deserve their contracts.

A player at 75% Carmelo's production maybe should get paid 75% what he does in a fair world. But salary caps and only having 1 champion every year with only select marquee players attaining the ultimate prize and receiving all the praise prevents that from happening.

As much as I'd love to take a razor to his hair, I think Noah is where he belongs. It would be fun watching Noah and David Anderson rebound though.
