    It's an interesting proposition.

Force Pittsburgh, one of the top 3 teams standing in our way to the Superbowl, to cough up more dough, or end up with a very talented receiver.

    Either way, we win.

Problem is, it's WAY down on our shopping/priority list this offseason.

Once the dust settles, if he we have any wiggle room, we should entertain the idea.

Its a wild idea... something I think could happen if we lost both Williams & Foster (yeah right). But its just too steep of a price IMO. I still think a minor addition at WR, like Eddie Royal, could dramatically improve our WR situation, without having to spend a ton of money.

I figure the Texans will sign a WR and take one within the 1st 3 rounds.

I think guys like Meachem and Doucet are likely, or they could try to hit a HR with Ginn.

Other bargain basement options include Donnie Avery and MSW.

Sadly, the Texans don't have the cap room to get Wallace =(

Personally, I'd take Walter over every single one of those receivers. Ginn is a fine specialist, I'll give him that, but he's not a football player.

Surprised I'm saying this but, our biggest needs at this point are at the receiver positions (excluding AJ to a certain extent).

If anything our defense proved that a Mario-less squad is still top tier in the league behind Wade's coaching so the offense would be the right place to address with a punch of lightning to mix with the thunder (AJ) and rain (Arian) we already have.

I would do this only if we could re-sign Myers, Breisel's position can be addressed through other means.

I would easily take Doucet and Meachem over Walter. And even if you keep Walter, you still need a 3rd receiver.

Oh and Meachem is hands down better than Walter, with Brees targeting Graham, Colston, and Sproles more he doesn't get the suffecient touches he'd get to show his playmaking ability that he could have with other QBs.

I'd love to have him, but I don't see it being a realistic move. Last year was the first time we ever saw the FO make a FA splash, and that was brought on by desperate circumstances.

I expect 1-2 WRs to be drafted that Kubiak likes for his system, and hopefully to see Lestar Jean brought back.

I'm in the opposite boat. I feel like those guys open things up for Meachem. They have a plug-and-play situation going down in NO.

As long as we can also keep Arian, I think I could stand losing the rest of the FAs for Wallace
Walter is useless if he is not blocking, I would take almost anyone over him. He and Jacoby should not be on the team next year regardless of the wallace situation

No....I'd rather go with a younger, cheaper option in the 1st round pick.

First off, I agree, Walter isn't that great, which is a testament to how I value those other WRs that were mentioned... to Walter's credit though, he has had good seasons in the past.

If we don't resign Mario, I'd say go after Wallace. He's still relatively young and a proven talent (unlike a last-1st round pick). Should be cheaper than Mario and would really fill a need.

It'd be a tough call between signing a WR2, CB2, or playing it safe for 2013 (Barwin, Brown, Shaub).
