    Really? Shelden Williams?

I want us to address the SG situation with this draft, as I don't think it can be suitably done simply through free agency or a trade.

It certainly doesn't appear like he's grasped our need for a big, athletic 2-guard. He's been talking up Sheldon Williams as a possible Rockets pick for a while. No idea where that's coming from. It's pretty clear that the Rockets would prefer a perimeter shooting PF to a banger.

The scenarios with us taking Shelden are to use to trade to Atlanta for Roy, Gay, Morrison, or Bargnani. One of those 4 are the players the Rockets want, not TT, not LA, not SW.

#1 - I'd try an offer of giving the Celts our 32nd pick to swap to get Gay.
    #2, 4 and 6 - I hope there is a trade out there somewhere.
#5 - Learn to live with the cards delt to you.
    #3 and 7 - Sweeet!

if it is Shelden Vs Roy- I will go For Roy. It is simplistic to say that we need a 4 who can shoot long range- I think Shelden has Range- not from 3 point line, but atleast on par with juwan.

I dont see Roy going to the Bobcats as Bickerstaff seemed pissed and they may go for Gay ( who knows this may be a smoke screen),

Roy fits our needs perfectly- but every team above us also likes to do that - who knows the Lakers were trying to do a deal to move Lamar to get Roy.

If we Get Roy- this would be a great way for CD to go out- after all the blunders!

If Tyrus Thomas really does have a face-up game (he keeps saying he's more of a SF than a PF), then he could be a good fit.

lets start a rumor that Roy's knees are worse than they are and scare off 1-7

Seven different scenarios and not ONE of them has us taking Brewer OR Carney. That pretty much tells me all I need to know about how much thought went into Chad Ford's picks for the Rockets.

That's because Brewer and Carney are below #8 on the Rockets board.

Thank you, Carrol Dawson. After hearing what I've heard the past few days, there is absolutely no reason to think that Carney and Brewer aren't in the mix at #8 just as much if not more than Redick, yet he's on there twice.

According to Chad Ford. Who really knows who's on the Rockets' board.

At least he was able to narrow it down to 1 of 5 possible players in his 7 scenarios...

Both Shelden and Redick seem like a reach at #8. If we want either of them, fine. Trade for the #12 and #15.

I would be very happy with any one of those scenario's. The closer we get to the draft it seems that we should get a player who will contribute, but its all fairytales until Wed.

    SCENARIO EIGHT

    1. Raptors: Andrea Bargnani
    2. Bulls: Tyrus Thomas
    3. Bobcats: Rudy Gay
    4. Blazers: Adam Morrison
    5. Hawks: Shelden Williams
    6. Timberwolves: LaMarcus Aldridge
    7. Celtics: Brandon Roy
    8. Rockets: Carney or Brewer (or Reddick, DD)

I think is the most likely scenario ( and of course I have no credibility either), It depends on Atlanta taking Shelden like the conventional wisdom seems to say. But the need/BPA imbalance there is so pronounced I thnk there has to be one if not two trades. I just don't think you draft Shelden Williams at the 5 spot with Roy on the board. Somebody will make you a deal. The Rockets will but we don't have a lot to offer.

The Hawks could trade down targeting Marcus Williams and the Twolves could trade down targeting Foye.

Oh wait, the Hawks can't trade down, they promised Shelden.

Wow, Chad Ford offers 7 things that could possibly happen on draft night. Way to really go out on a limb there Chad.

Well to me it looks like CD has had 100% success in mixing everyone up about this draft. I for one have no idea who the Rockets are interested in selecting!!
