I actually found this article fairly witty and entertaining. It made an impact on me in a way I didn't expect. As I was reading it, without taking it too literally or seriously, I realized that the latest injury update with Yao actually effected me much less than the previous injuries and bad news. I think Scoop and I were thinking along the same lines on this one... you just throw up your hands and move on to whatever lies ahead.

I have to give ESPN credit on their content today. They had several reporters writing different view points and each made very fair and balanced arguments. I believe that we are all witnessing something that just doesn't happen often in sports...

Taking all that into consideration, the management of the Rockets is fighting with every ounce of effort to keep that ship sailing despite the long odds by using new techniques and methodology that gives them (at least in their minds and from what we've witnessed) a slight competitive edge. I've always loved the NBA for the GM part of the game and for the first time I don't even have an exact opinion as to what direction they should go.

For that reason, I am no longer shocked by what trials have befallen the Rockets but I sure wish there was 24 hour news coverage starting midnight tonight because I'm on the edge of my seat to see how they can part the red sea and get rid of this "black cloud". This could be Morey's defining moment of his entire career.

I think that's also the title of a Harry Potter book, isn't it?
