Everytime Ryan shoots from a Cp3 pass, it seems like its going in. Thing of beauty.

Could you post a graph of this regression? Thanks.

The difference is, Ryan relies mostly on others -- see thread title -- for getting his numbers.

Melo generates his offense as a #1... and he likes to shoot.

His having a 15 PER is laughable.

Checking his stats, I'm surprised he only shot .372 3PT, last season. He shot .384 playoffs, so that's good.

He needs to get going. Make a layup.

Not really. I mean sure it has "FG" in the formula but the way the formula is calculated chuckers tend to have higher PER than those with high efficiency, other stats notwithstanding.

Just look at Melo and Anderson's PER, Anderson destroys him on efficiency (65% TS vs 55% TS) but Melo still ends up with higher per.

Who are you talking about? Anderson? Dude shot 28% in the playoffs nit 0.384. If he shot 0.384 we would have gotten past the Spurs.

    Are you seriously arguing this?

Melo averages more rebounds and 2x every other positive stat besides shooting. He's protecting the ball too.

PER uses FGA and FGM, so yeah, shooting efficiency is involved.

I took his comment as Gordon.

The way Anderson is stroking, he is shooting 4's.

Gordon gets gushed-over morerso than Anderson around here. The Ryan love is more recent.

    Wait. Does PER use attempts?
