i know i shouldnt do this but i almost destroy my keyboard with soda when KC posted his pic in here http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?t=185899&page=5&pp=20
Did he and his agent realize that the more they whined about it, the harder Portland would be able to trade him, and the less likely he would be traded? I used to like his game. Now I am glad that we wasn't able to draft him.
I really think that if Rudy is on another team and gets more playing time he can do much better. Too bad he gave up so easily.
I have observed enough HR, general counsel stuff to know there are two additional versions to the Portland / Rudy Fernandez drama. Portland's version has been prominently broadcasted in the U.S. media.
I have no problem with what he's doing. He's will not to get paid because he doesn't like his situation. Its not like he's asking for a buy out. He's asking them to trade him or cut up his contract. Portland turned down some good offers for him so its not like they anyone to blame but themselves. The guy just wants to ball.
Hill was drafter as a lottery player .. he has shown flashes of brilliance and he is a valuable trade asset . why would u give him up for a player who might play for you for a year and then say i want to go back .. lets seee... trading a foreign guard who years to go to europe for a power forward bc you think you have too many 4s .. when have we heard that before .. OH YAH scola for billy spanolis .. how did that turn out for SA?
I 100% agree, it happens all the time where really good players are stuck in a bad situation, this is Drazen Petrovic all over again. They need to trade him, to a team he can start on, all of this going back to Europe stuff goes away when he gets a chance to actually play ball night in and night out. I like his game a lot, let's hope Portland wakes up and smells the coffee before they end up getting nothing for him. All those teams offering 1st round picks and they wouldn't trade him? How stupid is that? They have Brandon Roy, Rudy is never going to play much there..... Sometimes, coaches and GMs just hold onto assets way way way too long. DD
