I heard on the radio that a group of programmers and professors invented a machine that can help improve shooting percentage. The machine is basically a shooting analyzer, which will tell you how much arch the shooting has and what's accuracy of that arch. These guys beleive that more archs will definitely improve one's shooting percentage. The next thing I know is thay Mark Cuban already got one of those machines for Mavs, darn. Eddie will be a perfect user for that Machine. I think they might even let him use for free so that they can show the difference before and after, sort like the loose weight profuct.

I collect all the magazines that Yao Ming, and Steve Francis are on the cover of.

I can't wait until Eddie Griffin has one. I bet eventually he will.:D

Basically he should have stayed at Seton Hall for another year or two. I garauntee that he would have been more bulkier

Griffin needs to work on his game, no question. But we should not expect him to become the player he is not. He is not a Wallace, Grant's type to bang away in the post. He is more suited to turn into a Garnett or a better Horry. What he does now is also what Rudy's offense dictates of him. Either stay out of the way on the weak side or set a pick or a double hi pick with Yao and fade back to the 3-pt line for his shots. There is no play called for him to cut to the basket. On ocassion, there are chances for him to post up but the post is primarily Yao or Taylor's spot.

It doesn't seem to me that Tmo has actually worked on the mechanics of his shot... I think it is moreso that he is just confident this year. No doubt he worked on his shot, but not necessarily the mechanics (ie form and release). He still has the same form as last year, and he was always a reliable shooter in college... just that he lacked confidence in the NBA sometimes, much like Dan Langhi.

Griffin, on the other hand, has never really been a good shooter. The problem with him is going to be much more difficult to solve than Tmo's because learning a new form is not easy. Hopefully, instead of a new form, maybe a simple adjustment to his current one will do the trick.

Right now I would be happy if Griffin had a solid baby hook shot from the post much like Kevin Willis and most recently Mo Taylor have displayed.

I don't know how good a shooter TMo was in college. But there were reports (Clutch's, I think) that the coaching staff worked with TMo's shooting after each day's practice during training camp. I wonder why they didn't do it with Eddie. Maybe because Eddie had been a decent 3-point shooter, they just assumed he didn't need help.

Actually there was a study a while back that showed that was optimum amount of arc that had the highest mathematical probability of going in. I think it was 45 degrees. I think it also included rolls and bounces.
