James will likely stay in Cavs.
Wade will choose between Heats or Bulls.
The highest chance NY can get is only Bosh.
I dont think he feel high pressure about selling Jefferies salary.

A team with Joe Johnson as it's centerpiece without an incredible supporting cast is a lottery team (unless those bottom feeding East teams continue to suck).

The Knicks will still have a trashy supporting cast next season. Gallo and a resigned Lee will be the best they can do (and resigning him will take a large chunk out of that cap space).

It also says that talks ended when the tried to include Jeffries. I think this is only a good thing for us.

I'm guessing Hill and the 2012 first.

Yeah but I guess I was right in guessing that Walsh would start to look elsewhere also.

@Tmac1- Yep, this has been a staredown the past few days, If Walsh suddenly finds another team to send Jeffries too, Morey could be in some trouble.

Talks are on-going. I've been watching the Suns/Mavs game and that is constantly scrolling across the bottom. Stein says the deal still looks to be likely to happen. Save your winkie, DD, it's premature! ;) ;)

    From Chuck 4's link:

The New York Knicks and Houston Rockets continue to work on a Tracy McGrady trade in advance of Thursday's 3 p.m. trading deadline, with three sources close to the process insisting late Wednesday that the trade can still be consummated in time even though the sides have clashed on some of the final parameters.

"I'm pretty confident," one source said Wednesday night.

Yep I think it will end up being 1-to-8 or 5 by the time it is done.

yep, this is a 15 round heavyweigh fight. We will never find out but it would be awesome to have a transcript of their negotiations and proposals.

If Walsh thinks that someone is going to swallow the Jefferies contract without so ekind of serious compensation, he's nuts. But he has to try.

But what nobody's talking about is NY's hope that Tmac is not done. That's still a motivation for the trade.

If the hopes of landing Lebron and Dwade are dwindling, then Walsh could build a team like this:

    Bosh (Max contract)
    Lee (Near Max)
    Galinari (improving Talent)
    Chandler (cheap performer)
    Tmac (MLE type contract)
    Toney Douglas

If you assume that Tmac can return to a decent form, such a team is about the level of the current Hawks team. It's not a world beater yet, but you're talking about playoffs in MSG and a return to respectability.

"We'd like McGrady and the cap relief," one Knicks source told ESPN.com's Chad Ford on Wednesday. "But the Rockets are asking for too much. We're willing to pay a premium to make a deal. But the price right now is still too high."

Hopefully Morey will get one time draft protection. Lets say the knicks want 1-10 protected fine let them have it. But they can only do it once.If they use the draft protection on the 2012 pick the rockets automatically own the rights to there next pick which would be 2013.

They keep recycling it. There are tidbits (tiny ones) of new stuff in some of these "blurbs," but much of it is lazy writing and, yeah, recycling.
