Nope, I think Tyrus could help the team a lot. The guy is only 23 also. We'd be drafting a player maybe around his age and he'd be a rookie.

I was cool with the Hill thing because of the extra picks, but now Chicago's deal is better...and if they are taking out Hill and the picks NYK needs to **** off.

That is us doing them a favor.

Yeah, but therein lies the rub.

If Tyrus sucks, the Rockets won't extend him that large qualifying offer, and he can leave for nothing.

If Tyrus plays great, the Rockets will tender the offer, but other teams may overpay for him this summer and sign him to an offer sheet that Morey isn't willing to match. And then you lose him for nothing anyway.

    It's a dilemma.

No way does Brooks and two mid first rounders net you Wall.

I'm honestly getting tired of lowering my expectations.

I was expecting either Iggy/Dalembert or Martin/filler. I was really hyped for that star 2-guard. I think that at some point Iggy/Dalembert was on the table, but we weren't willing to take back Dalembert and wanted more, so the offer was revoked.

Then the rumors turned to Butler/Haywood. I was not at all sold on Butler due to his age/injury history, but lowered my expectations and was excited for his contract and ability to help us in a way we need (dynamic 2 guard). As we all know, Dallas swooped in and offered more than we were willing to, and the rest is history.

Rumors then turned to the Knicks. I want no part of any of the players they are offering (no dynamic 2-guards). Instead we get bigs (when we have Landry/Scola and Yao returning next year). However... the picks were intriguing to me. So we don't get anyone to make this year/ next year exciting, but at least we might be able to strike gold in the future. Now New York is trying to take away the one aspect of the deal that was appealing to me.

If it ends up being McGrady for Tyrus Thomas (we're already strong at the 4), Miller (old), and other fillers, I will be pretty dissapointed considering the rumors that were out there and how high my expectations are. Don't flame me, this is just my opinion.

They are talking House and 2nd rounder. 2nd rounder from the celts is a little better than nothing

I disagree with the above. I think it would... It would be just enough.

Its a tough call and that alone could holding this whole deal up.

No frickin' way. Whoever gets the #1 pick ISN'T trading it. Period.

Fair enough. But I have yet to see any credible evidence that Chicago's offer even includes a first round pick (other than vague references to the deals being "similar").

Maybe enough, but not enough to beat out other teams offers.

I'm beginning to think that all the trade talk with the Bulls and the Knicks is all BS. When has Morey ever operated with this much media speculation around any of his moves? The only time we ever hear about something is when its pretty much finalized and a done deal. We keep hearing about how the rockets have multiple offers that are better then the knicks, but the only other serious offer we know of is from the Bulls. I wouldn't be surprised if Tmac is traded to a team other then the knicks or bulls and all the media news is to push a third team into giving Morey what he wants.

The NBA has fined an unspecified team for announcing a trade before its official completion and has warned the others via memo.

    Could something be complete?!?!

The rockets and the bulls are better trade partners. The players that the bulls want to trade can be used in the rockets team. In contrast, the rockets don't need those knicks players at all. The is probably the reason why the trade between the knicks and the rockets are so difficult. If the rockets cannot use those players, of course they want more picks.
