Wow, if the Rockets could get Gibson from the Bulls, that would be awesome. I like him more than Hill and WAAAY more than Thomas.

    McGrady

Chad Ford: The Knicks and Rockets spoke Wednesday morning about a potential Tracy McGrady trade. Sources familiar with the negotiations told ESPN.com that although the Knicks told the Rockets they remain interested in acquiring the shooting guard in a deal for Larry Hughes and Jared Jeffries, they are still unwilling to meet all of the Rockets' demands -- cap relief, Jordan Hill, the swapping of 2011 first-round picks and the Knicks' 2012 first-round pick.

"We'd like McGrady and the cap relief," one Knicks source said. "But the Rockets are asking for too much. We're willing to pay a premium to make a deal. But the price right now is still too high."

According to the source, the Rockets are still looking for other partners. The Bulls have been mentioned as a possibility, but sources believe their offer is less attractive than the Knicks' -- even if the Knicks don't give the Rockets everything they're asking for.

EDIT: My bad, didn't see BimaThug post it.

Damn, I thought this was gonna be taken care of by Today? That means we wont have time to pull off another deal! I was hoping we could trade for a shooting guard since most GM's are gonna start to panic, ala Kings or Sixers.

Have fun over-paying Boozer this summer, Mr Walsh. Chicago is getting the chip.

Let me ask you all this:

If the Bulls' offer does not have a pick (or the Rockets want more picks in the Bulls' deal), and given that Tyrus Thomas will be an UNrestricted free agent unless the Rockets tender him a $6.26M qualifying offer that he would likely accept, would you be willing to flip Thomas under a deal like the following:

    Tyrus Thomas and David Andersen
    for
Brian Cardinal's expiring contract and Charlotte's first rounder (currently #17)

This would be done as a three-team deal. The Rockets still get under the luxury tax threshold.

Thoughts??? (And, yes, I know that Cardinal is a scrub. It's about the pick.)

now that nate robinson is a celtic, if some of you dont know yet it will be reported in a few hours i think...
the knicks could possibly land some picks from the celts and that will FU**ING help to finalize the rockets deal :)

    lets hope for the best

also good luck for mac in the future,

    Yes, you take the pick.
We can resign Miller cheap as our 3 point floor stretching big man for a 2 year deal, basically replaces what Anderson does.
Try to Package the #17 and our pick (anywhere from #12 to #20) and move into the top ten of the draft.

I would probably want more in return than the 17th pick and cap space.

I think the pick from the Celts is a 2nd rounder, I don't see why Morey would go for that.

Absolutely. Although if Tyrus can net Chicago a number one I think they may have taken that already. It was reported that's what they wanted for him, but yes I do it

Yeah, they want a first rounder for Thomas, straight up.

But with the Rockets, Chicago views Thomas as the price for getting Salmons off its books. But Morey also wants a pick or two.

Bima, Prolly a pipe dream but if that happens and we have the two first rounders and an asset say like Brooks does that net us Wall in your opinion?
