If bulls want to throw in a first rounder then I can see a Bulls trade making sense

Dont fool yourself, NY is starstruck thinking about a T-mac resurgence added with 2 max free agents.

that chicago offer leaves us with nothing after the summer. none of those incoming players will be here.

jeffries will be a nice trade chip by this time next year. not that bad if it gains us hill and a future first... now if morey can make that 2 future firsts then its a big win for the rockets.

ChrisMannixSI NBA sources tell SI.com that the New York Knicks are now the front-runnner to land Rockets forward Tracy McGrady. More on SI.com coming

Only a pick swap (which may not be a swap depending on NY's luck this summer) to take on Hughes (expiring), Jeffries (1 more year @7million) and Hill (projected to be average role player with time and work)? This deal is looking less enticing. I mean basically you are helping NY out and for your kindness, you get under the LT and maybe, just maybe, get to trade picks next year? Pass.

If it is that or the Bulls (TT, Miller, James) offer, I'd take the Bulls.

if chicago goes down, you know adelman has something to do with it since him and brad miller are close.

i think the NY deal gives you tradeable assets or possibly just keeping the picks and draft

the chicago deal gives you expiring contracts + players who can help us this year.

so it depends on how badly morey and adelman want to make the playoffs.

Interesting. Deal to be completed tomorrow? Gives Morey a little more time to do another deal by the trade deadline.

Who's already projecting how good the #8 pick in this year's draft is going to be?

ChrisMannixSI The New York Knicks are finalizing a deal that would send Jordan Hill, Larry Hughes and Jared Jeffries to Houston for Tracy McGrady (cont)

ChrisMannixSI The deal includes swapping the Knicks-Rockets first round picks and New York sending their 2012 first rounder to Houston.

ChrisMannixSI The only remaining issue is the protection on the draft picks. More on SI.com soon.

Damn so basically we are giving the Knicks a superstar this summer...Those picks will probably suck.

Basically the Knicks might want to have a protection on the picks. Maybe 10 or lower would still belong to the Rockets. Houston wants it unprotected.

I think the Knicks will get someone but not these big stars as projected.
