be that as it may, at 29, Scola has maxed out. 14/9 is what he's going to give us. He is an amazing leader on the Argentinian team and that is the reason I would personally be ok with parting with the lovable scola.

He's the most valuable 14/9 PF in the league.

miller is also near the end of his career. his per 36 numbers are all way down from his career norms and he looks slower than ever.

tyrus is a nice backup to have, but the guy still suffers from stro swift syndrome and chicago reporters have been quick to note the guy views himself as a much better player than he has ever shown on the court. i don't mind the chicago deal if we can also get a mid first rounder, but tyrus seems like one of those players who would get a big deal and quit trying.

salmons isn't bad or good. he had 1 good year and now he has reverted back to his career norms.

i'd rather take my chances with the knicks not getting any superstars in 2010.

And Scola is much older with over ten years of professional basketball experience. What's your point?

Umm if you read my first post it's pretty obvious. I am fine with a guy who is proven with 14/9 production in only 30 minutes, and I'm not confident enough that Thomas or Hill will be able equal that production. So why is it worth the risk when we have much more pressing needs to address?

I also said I am okay with Hill, because we can still keep Scola with him. With Thomas it's more of an either/or thing.

Dude I don't know about yall but I am hearing a lot of conflicting rumors about the Suns entering the McGrady talks and how Walsh and Knicks don't want to part with Jordan Hill anymore etc. This is going to be interesting now.

I am getting a bit tired of these mind games. We'll see how things shake out. Anybody have any idea when an announcement is to be made? I heard the Rockets want today to be the day for the agreement of terms for the McGrady deal?

The Bulls hold their own 1stR picks. They do not own any picks from another team.

he is also averaging 5.2 fouls per 36 lol

who knows what hill would have to offer. he did improve significantly year over year at zona and he certainly has an nba pf build and atheleticism. he also has a high motor. from his interviews his confidence doesn't sound great, but who knows.

i just think the chances are certainly decent that new york gets the shaft during the 2010 mega free agent chase.

I think that if we're dealing with the Bulls, we'll find out by this afternoon. That gives Morey one more day to try and flip a guy like Thomas or Salmons for something more desirable.

If this has not been mentioned, there's a beauty to what Morey has orchestrated.

By bringing Chicago into the mix, Morey has dialed up the heat on NY. If they don't give Morey what he wants:

    1. NY will be unable to sign 2 max free agents, and

    2. NY will basically be creating a competitor in the FA sweepstakes, and Chicago has a vastly superior supporting cast waiting in Rose, Deng and Noah. Can you imagine Rose/Wade/Deng/Taj Gibson/Noah? That starting 5 has it all and CHI is a contender in the East IMO.

If NY doesn't cave to Morey's demands and we go with Chicago, all of a sudden, D Wade becomes a very viable target for Chicago and a Lebron/Wade combo is not possible in NY.

    NY is fubar.

you are pretty shortsighted in your view...
there is a reason as to why even morey is pondering his choice...its not as simple as you make it out to be

I keep hearing that the Bulls offer is "comparable" to the Knicks deal but I see both deals helping in different ways so it makes me thinks the Bulls are offering something special that makes them a choice. I would kill to know the legit deal the Bulls are offering just for comparison.

Just an FYI, people will more likely read and think about what you post if you stop adding things like people are morons or I'm right you're wrong, to the last paragraph of your posts.
