Nothing out there sounds like much to get excited about; no immediate help.

Two 1st rounders from NYK could be huge for us. Morey would be in heaven with options for the Rockets future

If no draft picks are involved they can keep that trash.

......Not a bad deal....not bad at all. At least Tyrus and Brad would help us right now, but no picks...I think i'd still take the Knicks deal.

I think Miller, Thomas are the mainstays in a Chicago deal. Question is, who else is or would be included?

With that said, I don't know how this plays out. Part of me thinks it will be Chicago(Adelman-Miller connection, young guy in Thomas), and part of me thinks it will be Hill, picks, etc as Morey thinks for the future.

Follow up from my previous post

    ESPN:

"Although the complete specifics of the Bulls' proposal could not be immediately confirmed, Chicago has multiple expiring contracts to package in a deal for McGrady's $22.5 million expiring contract. Those include longtime Rick Adelman favorite Brad Miller, Jerome James and the increasingly coveted Tyrus Thomas, who is being pursued in separate trades by several teams, including New York, San Antonio and Denver.

The Chicago Tribune reported on its Web site Tuesday night that the Bulls were still trying to recruit a third team interested in Kirk Hinrich to participate in a McGrady deal, since the Rockets are unwilling to take on Hinrich. One source told ESPN.com that Miller and Thomas are the Bulls most coveted by Houston, which has also resisted the Bulls' attempts to include John Salmons in the trade."

That isn't the final deal. I would assume that if the Bulls really want Mac they will give at least one 1st rounder.

The thing that is nice about this year's deadline is that you know get the feeling Morey and co. are still in the driver's seats, and nowhere more so than in the amount and type of information that has been leaked out.

I don't know about you guys but I get the feeling that every lead that has gotten out to this point has been done so intentionally by management as part of the negotiating strategy to drive T-Mac's value up. Just by knowing there are two bidders we can now pit them against each other. And which one do the Rockets prefer? No one knows, because they don't want us to know. Morey's in charge and the rest of the world is on a need-to-know basis.

ChrisMannixSI It seems this draft compensation will be worked out quickly. Morey and Walsh two savvy GM's who know how to make a deal
