ESPN: Rockets talking trade-up with Kings, Raptors -- targeting Dwight or Drummond?

I love how this has been out there from guys like Chad Ford and others for hours and now Billy douchebag is acting like he has some secret insider info.

I thought 278 was his weight after losing some weight for the combine but I only briefly read about it. I haven't seen any Javale highlight reels but I will go check some out. But if he is comparable to McGee in talent that only makes me want him more. If that guy could get his act together he would be one of the best centers in the league. I have to hope that Mchale would be able to lead Drummond down a better road than McGee went.

Motie/Patterson/Whiteside
Howard/Camby/Smith/Harper

I'm just glad that SOMETHING, ANYTHING may be happening that could alter this stagnant franchise!!

It seems like there could be a lot of things that have to happen for the Dwight deal to go down but it seems like a win-win because even if you make the preliminary deals of acquiring the 2 top 10 picks and the Magic still back out then your still better off for the future!

 

I'll be more disappointed than usual if nothing happens after all of this pre-draft buzz.

 

This is why Morey's reputation as the Wizard is wearing thin on the bbs. Huge rumors ... then let downs because the longshot doesn't happen.

 

Morey is not throwing rumors out there. He always says the same thing: We have a lot of "assets" and out goal is to build a championship team.

There's no denying that Morey is actively trying to re-shape the team.
We're the ones fishing for rumors. 99 out of 100 rumors pre-draft never materialize, but we fans are looking for any kind of inside information. If you don't want to be disappointed by rumors, then just check back in after the draft to see what happened.

 

if we are able to acquire 2 top ten picks, in this draft, do you NOT just give them to Orlando for Howard, that would be the all-time dumbest Rockets move in franchise history.. I hope that is an inaccurate report because if so, deeply concerns me

we dont trade anything top 10 AND Kyle Lowry.. you draft Drummond and take your chances, its about that time for this franchise to go this route, re-sign Dragic and make whatever other moves it is they see fit

The Rockets have gone out of their way to play damage control to earlier rumours and have consistently downplayed the moves they may make going into draft day. All these rumours are just that... rumours. I think we should expect them to move around like they do every year, but getting a superstar deal isn't likely.

However, it is my opinion that this is the year they really can swing for the fences with an Andre Drummond type of player that seems to be available. If they dont make a move down for Drummond there probably will be good reasons for not doing it. I would temper expectations of the fans that they should expect them to move slightly, but not make a huge splash like one might think.
