What'd they sign him for, 8 mil per? I'd rather have just used the cap space on assets that better fit the team at the time.

How? He basically told Beverley is better player than Dragic.

Isaiah Thomas's limited playmaking isn't a big deal for Houston. He has always ranked highly in ORAPM and his role will be to come off the bench as a spark plug when Harden sits.

Regarding Dragic though, I feel like this may be the best deal Morey could hope for:

Terrence Jones, Clint Capela, Kosta, NYK 2nd, NOP 1st, and MIL 2nd to Phoenix. Isaiah Canaan to Milwaukee. Goran Dragic, Zoran Dragic and Miles Plumlee to Houston.

    Dragic/Beverley
    Harden/Terry
    Ariza/Brewer
    DMo/Smith
    Dwight/Plumlee

That team could definitely win the title with a healthy Dwight. Problem is, no one knows whether Dwight will be coming back as himself, so that increases the risk of sacrificing assets for Dragic and probably eliminates a DMo for Dragic swap completely.

I bet Suns would've traded Dragic for Capela straight up. Never trade Capela pliese, he has Dwight's upside.

Kid is only 20, watch how he plays. Dragic won't sign another extension with Suns and they need big. Any GM would trade straight up, I don't think Suns think they have a chance for championship this year - gotta look forward.

Kid can't make a single fg let alone a ft and he's the new Dwight?

You're apparently on a whole different level of delusional if you think the Suns are going to take Goran for Capela "straight up," regardless of the practical feasibility of the trade...

yea right. nobody would do that because that would jack up the market for other possible free agents.

62.7% FG in DLeague and 15pts with 9reb, 3blk per 21 minute. Kid have even have mid-range shot, thing Dwight never had. Still have lots of years to work on it since he's only 20.

    This is inaccurate...

He made a FG, just not for the Rockets.

Ultimately I believe that the Suns demand and get DMO, with the Pelicans pick going to a third team with expirings for a suitable PF. Morey may try to get Plumlee as well to play center. It would be hard to argue if Morey pulls it off.

We need to trade for Dragic at the deadine if we want to have a chance to keep him, Smith and Brewer for next year.

Otherwise we give up Smith and Brewer if we sign Dragic as a FA this summer.

This is it for Dragic to Houston. c'mon, Suns, do Dragic a favor.

    Dwight Howard at 20:

    53.1% FG, 15.8pts with 12.5reb, 1.5blk...in the NBA.

It's possible that may happen. Which PF would you target with the Pelicans pick?

It would be better if we could get a PF/C for it.
