Stromile Swift was 26 yrs old, when he came to the Rockets. Hill is closer to 20 than 30.

If they really want him that badly.....simply sign him in the offseason.

He doesn't solve any of our problems.....besides, I think Patterson will be better in the long run.

I think 2Pat can be Landry + Hayes

Such a angry poster you are. If you hate Hill for his defense, I can't wait to see your post when Landry plays one on one or can't rebound the ball. But, but, he has heart. I like Landry a lot, but he solves none of our current problems.

For all the talk of offensive and defensive liabilities on this team, Hill is a liability on both ends. No way no how he should have been on the floor in the 4th last night. He can't catch and hold the simplest of passes/rebounds, his footwork is "awkward at best" he bricks jump-hooks, he lets bigger players like Howard and Zach Randolph go right around him on the dribble because he cannot move his feet even though theoretically he should be quicker than them. Then, he comes right back down the court and gets absolutely punished on the block and back down up under the rim by the same guy that just blew by him. It was like how do I wanna score on Hill night. What do you do? You can't teach hands and footwork. You can refine and perfect them, but you can't teach them.

I don't know much about him, but is Whiteside worth a look? The obvious choice is Dalembert and Cousins but what if that deal can't happen?

I'd love to see Landry back. And I'd love to not have to watch Hill play.

Would I trade Hill for Landry straight up? No. Only because I believe Hill is a better trading chip for a bigger trade. Now I would like to see Landry back on this team and I do think at this point he is the better player than Hill (and who knows if Hill will ever get "it"). I don't think it's an accident or coincidence that last year this team was winning a lot of close games and had a pretty good record when Landry was on the team, and then consequently started losing a lot of games late in the season after Landry was traded. He was our closer in the 4th (which we are STILL missing one right now), and it also meant Scola wasn't playing in the 4th quarter (He who does not defend).

As much as it pains me to say it, I would like to see the Rockets be able to bring back Landry and have him and Patterson be our PFs and trade Scola (who is my favorite Rocket) away in a big move. I have become convinced this team cannot win with Scola being such an important piece on this roster.

What I would do is get landry by giving up Twill and jeffries' contract. I would then trade Luifa to a place where people would appreciate his talents, along side his comrade Manu in exchange for Luifa's Bfff, Tiago and George hill. Why would the spurs give up Hill? because morey asked for hill.
Brooks would then be traded with yao's contract to philly for AI

    For the mean time:
    Hayes/ tiago
    Landry/paT
    AI/Shane/chase
    Kmart/lee
    Lowry/george hill

    2 years later...
After mr. alexander sent hakeem on a major sabotage mission to get dwight howard to sign with Houston:
    Dwight howard/hayes
    Tiago/landry/hayes
    AI/a tanned battier/chase
    Kmart/lee
    Lowry/ George hill

    Spurs 2011 and 2012 champions.

    Rockets 2013, 2014 champions!
Missed the playoffs in 2015 due to injuries. Battier retires and runs for congressman in North carolina.
Fans call for the rockets to go into rebuild mode again.

Pretty simple if you ask me.
Ugh, I want it to be the trading deadline already. All these trade speculations suck the fun out of watching the games. The fourth qtr collapses are more responsible for that, but still..it's just too much.

This is a trade I would do: http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=69oqhxu

    Rockets get:
    DeMarcus Cousins
    Beno Udrih
    Carl Landry

    Kings get:
    Aaron Brooks
    Jordan Hill
    Luis Scola
    Jared Jeffries

    Rockets Lineup:
    Hayes / Cousins / Miller
    Landry / Patterson
    Battier / Budinger / Williams
    Martin / Lee
    Lowry / Udrih / Smith

    Future Starting Lineup:
    Cousins
    Patterson
    Battier
    Martin
    Lowry/Smith

Why would you do that? You give up a tradeable piece for a guy you can get for nothing in the offseason.

This season is dead, the sooner people realize that, the sooner the sanity in some of these proposals can be returned.

    Think LONGER term folks.

Swapping Scola for Landry, either now or somehow in the offseason, would make sense. Landry has struggled big time this season, but the Rockets know what he's capable of and I believe they still like him quite a bit and probably value him more than the rest of the league. They've spent a lot of money to retain Scola. If they could trade Scola and bring back Landry at around 5 million, I think they would do it.

OMG, that would be HORRIBLE.....you bring in a worse shooter, a worse defender and a worse rebounder.

You can get more for Scola than Landry..... a lot more....Landry is a career backup, an energy guy....Scola is a legitimate starter.....

Man, Durv, that post was terrible.

I wouldn't trade anything for Landry, that would be incredibly stupid.

I think all this is media play. Its basically us publically telling Landry, "Hey we want you back, dont agree to an extension or anything till we get a chance to legally talk to you"

Scola for Landry what? That makes zero sense.

    What?! I am so confused.

I am pretty certain this is just recycled news. As far as the Jordan Hill trade question is concerned.. No I would not do it. A lot of things need to go the right way for Jordan Hill to be a star.. a LOT.. but it is still possible. We know what Landry is and its not a star. Even knowing this I'd do it for old Landry but im worried he is starting to decline. Bad knees and an older rookie. a little spooky. had to hit sometime.

That you're so strongly against it actually makes me more confident that the Rockets would do it.

And bringing back Landry doesn't necessarily mean he'll take on the role as a starter. Maybe Patterson starts, or maybe Chuck.

Lol found this on some kings forums:

    Petrie calls Morey

GP: Hello Darryl this is Petrie. So I hear you might be interested in Landry. Lets work something out.

DM: As a matter of fact I am. How does Jared Jeffries sound? You need a “real” SF so he does fill a great need for you. What do you say?

    GP: Well uh……..

DM: Come on Geoff remember your old buddy Adelman?

    GP: Well ok

DM: That’s the spirit! While your at it why don’t you throw in Cousins & Dalembert for let’s say Yao & Brad Miller?

GP: Oh no I can’t do that Cousins is one of our cornerstones

DM: Oh come on! You know your buddy Adelman needs a strong center! Why not give him two?? You know Yao would sell a lot of Jerseys……

(at this point Joe Maloof jumps in)
JM: Sell a lot of jerseys!! Tell me more!

DM: And we’ll give you $3 million in cold hard cash. Come on I know the family needs cash!

    JM: Do it Geoff

    GP: but……..

JM: DO IT NOW! (stomps his feet)

    GP: fine :(

Disclaimer: This is all in fun :D
