All Morey is proclaiming is that the season has been a success. What were the expectations of this team (outside of diehard Rockets fans) this year? Barkley thought we'd be the worse team in the west. How can Morey not gloat to some degree based on the success we've seen of this unit? This is team built around the synergy of an entire group versus a team assembled around a one or two star team and sub par supporting role players (See Utah playoff series '07). Give Morey and the Rockets some credit. They essentially rebuilt on the fly and overhauled their entire roster in a two year time frame and have positioned us to be able to sign and trade for a top free agent this summer or role with what we've got and look forward to some future lottery draft picks. This team has as much of a bright future as any other team in the league.

    Thanks Morey.

Wait.. If the Bucks don't qualify because Michael Redd played crap minutes.. well McGrady played.. And he's been an all-star. So we don't qualify?

He did clarify "only team since ABA/NBA merger (1976) with over a .500 record without an All-Star playing over 100 minutes." But that still minimizes the impact of the "Best Team Ever Without An All-Star" proclamation. So its Best Team Ever With The LEAST All Star Minutes

    ( Morey "self promotion"? )

    :p
