Really not sure why there is so little love for Delfino on this board. I thought he was a big part of our success last year and think he could still be a big part of our success for the next 2-3 year's. I will be disappointed if we don't have him back on our roster next year, and from the way it looks, I will be the only one.

I like Del3No too, but $3M is movable. We need to sign Dwight.

You're not the only one. I like Delfino, but I'm also looking at the bigger picture

Yes, I like Delfino also and thoroughly enjoyed hearing him play for the Rockets. It will be sad to see him go. However, he's no Dwight Howard and we probably need his cap space to sign Dwight. Should we move him, he'll be one of my fave non-Rockets players.

Include me in the Delfino appreciation camp. He brought much needed fire power off the bench. Great camaraderie with the rest of the guys, some cold-blooded 3's, his role as the token Argentinian, and who can forget his bullets-to-the-head expression?

    Gonna miss that guy.

Get off ClutchFans, Omer. You may still stay on the team, just relax.

It would be really awesome if we ended up with 2 or 3 draft picks. We can clear cap space and feed our farm system with second rounders or euro guys to stash.

I'm a little bit confused. What's the point in trading Brooks and Delfino if we can just waive them and not take a cap hit?

We aren't looking to take back salary. We are looking for 2nd round picks.

2nd round picks don't get a garaunteed salary. You can cut them with no penalty and if they pay off it's a very cheap asset salary wise.

Second rounders AND true non-guaranteed contracts that can be kept on the roster throughout the summer without affecting our 13/14 cap give us a lot of trade flexibility going into the free agent period.

Living out here in So Cal I doubt seriously Dwight signs with LAC. He thinks the media was rough this past year he hasn't seem anything yet if he switched locker rooms... Very doubtful Lakers would trade him right across the street.. Nah 50/50 he resigns with the Lakers or heads elsewhere NOT NAMED LAC

Loved Delfino but the injury is a concern and many teams are willing to take him on for a 2nd round pick. We're cutting him in order to clear capspace so why not try to get an asset instead of just letting him walk? No different than an expiring contract at the deadline. Same goes for AB minus the injury concern.

Looks like Chicago using their $5 million trade exception to acquire Robinson, without dumping any other salary (e.g., Rip Hamilton), is not feasible.

Tim Kawakami: Unrelated note: I'll continue to point out that Houston F Carlos Delfino is a very interesting name for the GSWs as July arrives. Twitter @timkawakami
