I think Jrich would excel in this system. He is everything we needed from McGrady but he is kinda similar to Wafer. I would definatley do Tmac + PG for Nash/Jrich.
oops I forgot Chuck T-Mac + Brooks + Cook for Nash + J-Rich s&t Artest for B. Miller or Okur or Camby (all free agents in 2010) M.L.E. = $3.5mil. on Wafer or A. Parker + $2mil. on M. Barnes Yao Ming, Miller, Dorsey L. Scola, Landry, Hayes Battier, Barnes J. Rich, Wafer, Barry S. Nash, Lowry
That's a nice lineup for the Rocks, but I'm not counting on anything from Dorsey until he does something, anything, on the court. I would have slotted Chuck where you have Dorsey, where's he's the 3rd 5, which is where I think Adelman would have him as well. Dorsey has a long way to go. Otherwise, looks groovy. Definitely aiming at a small window with Nash, however, unless we intend to resign him to a more reasonable number (for short years) for a star at this stage of his career. J. Rich is that 2 we'd like to have! Barnes? Nice if we could get him, but you have the contract numbers switched. No way we could get Barnes for $2 mill, while overpaying Wafer at $3.5 million. Switch the numbers between the two players and maybe it could work.
pls send this SQL statement to morey and add to his WHERE clause: AND AGE <= 27. his query hits are generating too many potential crutch players.
THen we could sign Deke for 2 more years, so we could qualify for the NBA senior citizen discount tax
Honestly, we just need to get a backup center and a veteran backup point guard to relieve Aaron Brooks. I dont think the Rockets should take on too much salary in 2009. They need to wait for 2010 free agency, especially when McGrady's salary comes off the books. Then we can get one of the top free agents in that class.
