Its rather ironic. We kicked out McGrady for being a diva. And now, we're relying on Bosh being a diva in order to sign him.

So because he's got cameras following him around to document his experience, he's not a max contract type player?

I mean I don't think he's max money player period, but because of that he is considered immature or selfish? I don't get that one, any other argument I'd validate; health, no playoff success, even no regualr season success but this is dumb.

I don't think that package would be worth it...
    Morey is better than that.

This whole attention-w**** thing is a big turn off for me.

Is this what you personally think or what Ric Bucher was stating?
Good thing about this for Houston is, they like the package
Losing Scola would be hard though

    Thanks for the update.

I think Bosh is clearly a max guys. 6 years, at the max, short of a disastrous injury, this is a guy whose on the court actions will live up to his contract. He's not Kobe or Lebron good, but those guys would get paid more than him if there was no such thing as max contracts. Given there is a limit, Bosh is clearly a player that should be paid that limit. His defense isn't great, but it isn't horrible, and he rebounds and has length and is so good and smooth offensively. Plus, he's a perfect fit for the Rockets and our current system.

On the cameras, and attitude, etc. - well, you'd prefer he was more Kobe driven to only focus on basketball, but I don't think having other interests - in Bosh's case = technology, social media, video, tweeting, etc, etc. - means he can't be the best or 2nd best player on a championship team.

While I can see an owner or GM upset about being filmed, I'm not really sure Miami would be that upset about Bosh' attitude that they'd say, no, we don't want him. He's the best big on the market.

As such, not sure I believe any of these reports.

I don't think Bosh is worth the max, but that's what it'll take to get him here. After seeing the contracts handed out yesterday, I don't even know what players' salaries should be anymore.

You're right... He's just an agent in the end. I just know that he's agent is pushing really hard for him to go to Miami with Wade since he's his agent as well.

I think we can also take from this is Colanglo has basically made his mind on what he wants already for a SnT. I'm happy but man... I just don't want to jump to any conclusions.

Diva or not, I think Mcgrady would still be here if he had never gotten hurt.

As long as Bosh is a healthy diva and not a cancer, I don't think he'll be a problem.

Actually, we kicked out Tmac because he was sucking. Personally I don't care if a player is "high maintenance" as long as he is playing and being productive.

If Bosh wants to "bask" in this attention, then fine. I really don't care. All that matters is productivity on the court giving us a chance to win a championship.

Again, do NOT want him here with a max contract.

Exactly, not to mention the fact that I think Bosh would get along really well with guys like Brooks, Lowry, and Jordan Hill. It's just a matter of whether or not this is all posturing by Miami and Chicago now. I could totally see how they wouldn't want to tip their hand just in case the other team is waiting in the weeds to pounce. Right now, it's all just a game between the agent and the GMs of all the different teams.

    thanks for the update!

i don't understand why it would be a big deal if he had cameras around. this is his vacation time and he is trying to decide where he wants to go. who cares if he documents it. this is the same guy who tweets all the time and made that all-star promo vid. i dunno...sounds like media bs more than anything. it's not as if bosh has been an on-court diva or thrown his team under the bus or anything.

We still want this clown. He doesn't want to be the man. He wants to be a side show. He should go to Dallas with the rest of the clowns

The more I think about it, it makes more sense
Scola, although a valuable player is going 30
and Battier is not getting any younger
so we keep our young core
the problem will be how do we get our D back with Battier and Ariza gone
