By the way no the Knicks are not much better with Amare than Lee unless they add someone like Ade or Lebron so the Knicks picks are still at the same value seeing they lost alot of depth to clear space too until they sign a Wade also to go with Amare. We forget David Lee scoes 20 and 11 and Amare scored 20 and 8. So?? Our New York Knicks picks are still the same value for now.
Meeting between Bosh and NY is 2 hours and counting, they're wrapping up but Bosh is still talking with GM Walsh. Bosh is not coming here
Maybe because they have a long drawn presentation with the Knicks? They probably hired all kinds of people to make videos and presentations. means absolutely nothing.
Um, he kind of is. In case you haven't noticed just about every team in the nba wants him right now. He is also about to get a $120 million contract (or thereabouts), I'd say that officially qualifies him as a big shot. Sometimes I wonder if people think before they post things. Actually, I already know better.
I think hes more interested in playing with Bron/Wade than he is with us, especially when you factor in that Chi/Miami/NY are considered more glamorous cities.
The length of the meeting in and of itself doesn't mean anything. GM's of these teams with cap space won't want these prime time free agents to leave so soon, and the players owe it to themselves to listen to everything and ask all the questions they can. The teams with cap space have first crack at these free agents.
I think its pretty clear to Bosh that if he were to come to us, it'd be a sign and trade for the total max amount. NY, Miami, and Chicago have probably not offered him a contract yet; they may persuade him to sign directly with them if they're weary of a sign and trade, or might not be able to get one done. He's collecting info from those teams first but that doesn't mean he is giving Morey the cold shoulder. I think its just a case of he knows what he's getting in Houston, why not see the economics of the other teams.
Still, he could have at least scheduled a future meeting with Morey at a time after all his other scheduled meetings. The signs are on the wall, I think he's just not interested in us.
Who says he wont? He saw us already. Now he gets the numbers from everyone. He has ours already and then if he likes us better with 30 million more in a sign andtrade? Then he comes back to us. Especially after the Knicks already pretty mych got Amare anyways. So that kinda makes me think Bosh and Amare wont be playing together as knicks. Sorry to blow the Knicks theory out by that more logical conclusion.
Amare to the knicks would not diminish our picks that are owed unless they ended up getting LeBron or Wade. Amare is one of the best finishers in the league, but with Phoenix, he had arguably the best passing PG to put him in those positions to finish. Knicks have no such player at all on their team. A healthy McGrady in his prime possibly could, but McGrady is a shell of his former self and seemed to burn some bridges in New York. Of the teams available, the Rockets and Bulls are the best spots for Bosh if winning is indeed his primary concern because they will actually have a supporting cast not made up of scrubs or old players on the verge of retirement. Bosh is also able to get his money from those 2 teams as well. But in Chicago, he will have a ball stopping PG who will also focus on getting "his" rather than focusing on distributing. I know AB put up 19 ppg last year, but with K-Mart, healthy Yao, and Bosh, AB would be required to get the ball to his playmakers and just shoot when open or shot clock running down.
Sooo, Bosh being somewhat of a diva is actually helping us because it's "rubbing PR and Chicago the wrong way" If Riley's not happy with Bosh, well...NUFF SAID! Welcome to Houston, Chris!
Houston is actually the city with the most restaurants and strip clubs in the nation. NUFF said. Not to mention out women or more down to earth and "hospitable". NUFF said.
Still not completely sure how much I think the Rockets should get Bosh. Looking at his production again over the past few years, he is actually a better passer and a worse rebounder than his basic reb/ass numbers would indicate (looking at advanced stats on 82games & basketball reference). Also 82games has him being the best clutch post player the past few years after Carl Landry (go figure), which really surprised me. I know not everything can be put into perspective based on stats, but still not completely sold on him getting a max contract. He has always had a bit of the persona of wanting a brand with some off the court marketing opportunities. That was made obvious when he put out that "Vote for Chris Bosh" youtube video a few years ago. Also, being isolated in Toronto has not helped him appear as marketable to the general market media so he really has lost out on that compared to his peers such as Lebron & Wade. Given that, while his persona that has rubbed Miami and may rub Chicago the wrong way, it makes perfect sense. He was probably the only one who felt he needed the exposure that a reality show about free agency would give him of those three and he is right. The biggest problem with him right now that I see is he still strike me as a Type Ib or Type II superstar. For one, he just does not have the game where if you give the ball, he will nearly automatically score. Second, he is about as turnover prone as Yao is. Third, the rules of the NBA are not going to change. Playoff basketball can be won if you can get the ball into the post early in the game, but without a legit wing scorer who finish a game it is still hard. (For example, nearly the top 30 clutch players last year were PG's and wings. And yes, AB was one them, just a few notches about Bosh.) Fourth, where has he been the past few years. Pau got Memphis into the playoffs every year he was healthy; Garnett got the TW to the playoffs for about 7 yrs before everything fell apart. That is the caliber player we are hoping to get, right? I mean if not, they why give the guy a Max contract?
Excuse me umm, I don't remember trading you the rights to "NUFF SAID"... i believe you have my word...NUFF SAID!
