Don't worry. Eddie will become a born-again Christian and come back with 8 Biblical verse tatoos and win a championship and praise God. It's either that, or he'll become a Moonie and have seven wives.

I'd rather BE Eddie Griffin, but I'd rather HAVE Rasheed Wallace on my team.

It's important to make that distinction.

Wallace is one of the best PF's in the NBA, and I think that playing for a coach like JVG who LOVES him and his game, could bring him back to life.

JVG's comments last week really caught my attention. Here's a coach who will tell Rasheed to his face "I want you regardless of the antics, I think you're THE best PF, come to my team, win the championship with us".

I would love to see us acquire Rasheed. But it MUST be a 3-way, because Portland want a star. We need to deal with a team that needs two ROCK SOLID non-all-star players (Cato + Mobley) and them get THEM to deal a future star to Portland (Al Harrington, Flip Murray, or maybe Zydrunas Illgauskas).

If JVG is involved in trade decisions, I have to believe that he's been trying to get Rasheed, or he will try DAMN hard to sign him this summer.

Yao+Rasheed+Francis is championship material, absolutely no doubt about it. Best defense in the league, along with 3 20+ ppg scorers? Add Pike, JJ, AG, Boki, MoT and JVG, you have yourself a contender.

One of the bright spots for EG is that the people around him now are (hopefully) the true friends that aren't into him for the lifestyle he allows them to live. The friends that are helping him through his crap right now are true friends and if EG can ditch the morons he was running with, he should be fine.

I'd rather be Marc Stein, rather than Ric Bucher.

What is the absolute worst penalty that could be placed on EG if he is convicted?

Seriously? You think? Eddie seems like the type that would allow something like this to destoy him, rather than build on it. I also don't think JVG will let him back on the team any time this season, and, because he hasn't seen enough of Eddie to convince him he is worth it, probably won't sign him this offseason.
