Didn't read the article yet. Yes 1 is crazy. But what he did was pretty insane. Especially if you count what he did against the Pistons (which you don't count lol). Of course the refs probably gave him calls to extend the series
Thanks for the article! Hollinger should be counted among our Rocket representation (Barry, JVG, maybe Jackson) at ESPN.
Too lazy to do any research or analysis... but reading this article makes me wonder what Hakeem's PER in his prime would compare to today's stars. Top 5, no doubt...
Cool, man.. thanks for the link. His avg PER from 1992-1996 was 26.025... according to the 2007-2008 stats, that PER would put him in 4th behind Lebron James (29.23), Chris Paul (28.39), and Amare Stoudamire (27.61).
IMO, Hakeem would be ranked higher in this era. Most centers would not have been able to keep up with him. Shaq dominated a weak center era, although I do not discredit him. I'm sure Hakeem would have done the same if his prime would have been in the 21st century. Regardless, his domination in the 1990's was amazing.
You know what is cool about the article. They use the correct logos of the team when they made it to the finals.
I agree.. what he did to Robinson was just plain SICK!! Hakeem PWNED 2 Hall of Famers in the Finals!! His 1995 performance should have been top 5.
