I wonder if Lenny Wilkens would come here?

Was it in the works before the sudden "resignation" of Rudy? Would Rudy still be the coach if we knew we wouldn't get Brown?

You brought up a VERY interesting point. If Brown went to the Pistons (or vice versa) and campaigned for Carlisle's job before he was fired, did he do the same thing with us?

Perhaps Brown pulled a double cross. Not sure if I really believe that, but its a possibility.

Remember that Brown was supposed to announce his intent to or not to stay with Philly later that following week (after Rudy's firing). Instead, all of the sudden, two days later he resigns.
His 1st interview was with us.

Perhaps the Rockets interviewing of all the other canditates was just a smoke screen so it didn't look like the Detroit situation.

Perhaps Brown, once he received our offer, was either offended or realized that he couldn't succeed here and based on that, went to Joe Dumars and struck a deal leaving us out in the cold.

These coaching searches are ALL illusions. The truth is Les wants to make himself the coach and CD be his assistant. :D :D :D

So it's no surprise that they still can't come up with any 'top candidates' or whatsoever.

Please no (he's another golly-gee-wiz coach).

That's the question I would like to have answered, but doubt it ever will be.
