Why are the Nuggets starters still on the court with the large lead. Not a good sportsmanship move by George Carl.
Shaq is actually playing well. The Suns just don't know how to use him. And someone on the team needs to tell Nash and Amare that defense is also part of the game.
That one he hit falling out of bounds in the corner with Shane Battier in his face the other night was sick.
Up until last night, I thought it was over. Now, I think you could be right. That said, I'm going to continue to doubt the team because the reverse psychology thing seems to be working. Because this damn team has given up 15 point leads in the last 4 minutes of a game before. We get on cruise control, and it's over.
It's not like they have to pass the Suns to get in. They could still pass the Warriors who lost last night. There's also the Jazz who aren't too far ahead in the division. As long as they don't pass the Rockets of course.
who like the coach who said they dont play defense theyre just gonna score and lets see who scores more? mike d sucks the collapse of the suns is food for the soul. they wanna get away with not playing d. thats what happens
Yeah, I don't blame them for doing that. I don't concede anything until at least 2 minutes left. Not to mention it's the Suns (granted, it's w/ Shaq now).
People think I'm crazy, but I think GS is going to land in 6th or 7th (you guys somewhere betwen 3 and 5). The Nugs are fighting Dallas, Phoenix and Utah for the last playoff spots/division IMO. I'd LOVE to knock either Dallas or Utah out of the playoffs.
I don't think that's crazy. Golden State has been really hard for us to shake the last month. They could easily pass up Phoenix and even the Hornets if they keep struggling. I think Dallas will be fine thanks to their upcoming schedule. They'd have to go into the tank in order to risk missing the playoffs.
I don't think Utah is going to fall at all.....GS may climb ahead though. IMO Phoenix will get the 7th spot and Denver/Houston will be fighting for that 8th spot, which will probably come down to the last week of the season when we actually play @ Denver. It's not that I think Denver is all that great (their defense is wildly inconsistent and their shot selection simply r****ded), but the Rockets are left with no legitimate inside threat with Yao out now. Therefore, I wouldn't be surprised if we fall out of the playoffs to Denver in that final week.
I want to clarify because my post above was really poorly written... I think Utah's making the playoffs. I just think the Nugs have an outside chance of catching them for the division lead. We're only two games behind them in the loss column. I'd be surprised if you guys fell out. Now if you asked me when Yao went down, I thought you were done. That said, every game I've seen you guys play since he went down (all of the Denver game and parts of two of the other three), you guys have looked seriously good. I could see you getting home court advantage. I tell you one thing though, if the Nugs land the 8 seed, I'm praying for the miracle that the Hornets get the 1 again. I'm tired of getting our ass kicked by San Antonio in the playoffs.
We've looked good whilst playing scrambling defense to force turnovers (which has helped to mask our big hole inside after Yao's absence) and then on offense simply by moving the ball and all out hustle for offensive rebounds. We've been able to do this against teams that aren't so talented or are talented but not so bright. When we meet up with one of the talented teams that actually has a clue what they are doing then I fear the outcome is going to be different. Suffice it to say, I think tonite our weaknesses will be exposed and Dallas will sort of find themselves on the way back to a higher winning clip. I think it is going to be a tough road for us the last 20 or so games of the season.
