Trading Nash to a team where he would not dominate the ball (i.e. Miami) would turn him into the Dallas Mavs Steve Nash. Not necessarily a bad thing, but not ideal situation for him like in Phoenix or New York. Still one of the top dead-eye shooters in the nba.
If the Clippers are really serious about making the playoffs, they should try to trade for Nash. Nash/Gordon/Gomes/Griffin/Jordan is easily a playoff team.
stove nash shot good does defense good to. strongets player nba best to. pass is also strong can u say better?
Might be a good move for the Clippers, as long as they can replace him with a young guard for the next season, seeing as Nash would most likely leave.
Can someone post the article so we can see the Steve Nash trade proposals that the writer suggests...
Let's start with the Oklahoma City Thunder. During this past season, one executive who spoke to Insider pointed to Kevin Durant's squad as the team that makes the most sense for Nash. And that's with Russell Westbrook in the fold. Such a move would mean sliding Westbrook to the 2, which might seem risky at first, but consider that Westbrook already shoots the ball just as often as Dwyane Wade and Joe Johnson. If the Thunder and Suns were to engage in talks, youngsters Serge Ibaka and James Harden would probably be hot names in the conversation, but expect Oklahoma City to be leery of unloading a talented player under a rookie contract. Although, with Westbrook nearing a payday, they might not be able to lock down Ibaka or Harden to a big extension. Who else should the Suns call? The San Antonio Spurs have a shutting title window, but it's still open as long as Tim Duncan's around. The Spurs might feel pressure to shake things up after their core was blindsided by the Grizzlies last season. The money works for a Nash-for-Tony Parker deal, but the Suns may be reluctant to absorb Parker's long-term deal unless they receive Tiago Splitter in there, too. And then there's the New York Knicks. While it'd be a match made in heaven, it's not clear how the Knicks make an appealing deal unless they include a third team in the mix. Mike D'Antoni, Amare Stoudemire and Nash linking up for one last hurrah? A pipe dream might be all it is. In the end, it's nearly impossible to pick out Nash suitors without knowledge of the new CBA and how the free-agency frenzy reshapes the league. But it's hard to imagine the Suns getting back to the playoffs any time soon if they allow the warm, fuzzy feelings of keeping Nash to get the best of them. If you think dealing Nash would cause ticket holders to run for the hills, imagine the revolt when fans realize their future hinges on Jared Dudley, Hakim Warrick and Gortat.
James Harden and Serge Ibaka for Nash? Even though they have a superior PG in Westbrook? Tony Parker and a serviceable big man in Splitter for Nash? Is this guy in crack?
I just think all the heat need is for someone to know how and where to get the ball to the superstars, a Lebron and Nash pickn roll would be deadly, and that's not even bringing up Bosh/Wade. Who was the best point guard that the big 3 has ever played with?
The Heat are not "locks" to make the finals if they get Nash. Miami's biggest problem is that they are too small. Bosh is 6'10 but he plays more like a small foward and the only center they have is Joel Anthony and a washed up Big Z. They need a shotblocking and defensive minded center. Looking at FA's, they need to go after a Dalembert type center for any chance of winning a title.
They should have traded Nash a few years ago. Didn't they realize the run and gun style becomes less effective the deeper a series goes?
