Correct me if i'm wrong, but wasn't Roy's velocity down to around 88-90 during his struggles at the begining of the year last season? Once his velocity returned his hr/rate went down along with his ERA. Throughout his whole career he seems to have a month or a few weeks in which he goes through a "tired arm" phase marked by decreased velocity. He's in his 30 now with a ton of innings under his belt but, still, I wouldn't be particularly worried. He's as consistent and safe a bet as any starting pitcher.
