I agree with you, but I don't think preferring a good value backup such as Dalembert or even Miller over spending an arm and a leg on CB4 is a completely invalid opinion.

I prefer Bosh, as a post presence but also as an insurance policy, but I can't see the arguments against it.

I can't call what team LeBron is going to, because I have no inside information in regards to LeBron James. I don't know LeBron, or anybody in his camp.

What I can emphatically state, is that I know for certain Chris Bosh isn't coming to Houston. Either bet me the money, or shutup.

For your information (I'm sure you know this), but it doesn't matter what assets Houston has. They could have all the trade secrets in the world, in addition to ownership of all of the oil reserves; however the fact reamins that Chris Bosh has to want to come to Houston.

Again, call me all the names you want, but when the Rockets don't sign Chris Bosh, after you wipe all the egg from your face, I want you to come and kiss the rings

So I take it you do either know Chris Bosh or someone in his camp?

Whether you believe me or not, it's your perogative. I don't have to prove myself to anybody on the internet.

As an avid rockets fan, it's just comical to log in here and read the billion posts about Chris Bosh, when I know that he is not signing in Houston. If you guys knew what I knew, it would be comical to you guys as well. I just wanted to give you guys the heads up that he's not signing with us, nor will he be traded to us.

    Tee hee.

Let me ask you, when Chris Bosh doesnt sign with the Rockets, who's going to look like the dumbass?

By the way, I think you meant "you're".

I am best buddy with Bosh, Lebron, Wade, and Johnson. I know exactly where they're all going. But I don't have to prove it to anyone. So I won't say it. And you're going to look like a dumbass when you're wrong.

I'm not trying to boast or anything, I'm just saying that Bosh isn't signing with Rockets.

Would you rather prefer that I didn't say anything? If that's the case, alright my bad I guess.

Now I know in order to have the privilege of posting "insider info" without getting ridiculed, I have to specifiy how exactly I know, and who exactly I know.

    Gotcha.

Well I'll bow out, have fun with the Bosh speculation, and by all means, keep creating the threads..I'm sure they'll help us land Bosh.

leebigez, it IS a big deal. Why sign a shorter deal when the new CBA is likely to limit the salary they can re-sign at in the future? Why not get a six-year deal that STILL includes an ETO?

Also, if you don't think these guys (or their agents or their families or their managers, etc.) at least partially consider the fact that they could get hit by a bus tomorrow, then you're kidding yourself.

I'm not saying that some of these guys WON'T just agree to sign outright. But the benefits of the sign-and-trade weigh more heavily then you seem to be willing to admit.

I expect them to change their tune. It's a bluff. There's no way they wouldn't at least want the massive TE they could get. They have absolutely no means of rebuilding if he walks outright, other than the very high draft pick they'll pick up from being the worst team in the league.

Who will look like the dumbass? The guy with 20 points and a stolen username.

I can claim to be Gloria West, make the WILD, COURAGEOUS claim that LBJ won't land here, and then call everyone a dumbass that calls my bluff on opening day -- but I won't, because I'm not a troll.
